ayte | 1 comments sorry, i don't remember this too well. this book must be at least ten years old, as i've read it as a teen.

the details i can give are few, sorry, basically as said above. there's a scene where the heroine is tricked into taking some sort of paralyzing drug on a ship so the other woman can escape and take her place. i think she's deposited on the bed and the hero ravishes her in a case of mistaken identity? it's at least partly set in the caribbean.

but the thing i remember, and basically why i want to see this book again, is the woman who drugs her apparently turns out to be anne bonny, the famous pirate, in a rather vindictive historical interpretation that still makes me curious.

I'm bumping this for you because I am also curious! Did Anne Bonny appear much as a character or was she the one who escaped, meaning that she wasn't present for much of the story?
