Nik Krasno | 16509 comments In some countries a credit score is almost a must, without which people may feel like invalids, while in others - it's not used at all. The feeling is that it's not exactly compatible with privacy, that it may promote inequality since 'weaker' borrowers will get tougher financial terms, while those who made it big time even despite maybe a few bankruptcy on their record won't really depend on their score. On the other hand, it's very comfy for lending institutions and provides justification for biz to different bureaus.
What do you think?
And do you think politicians too should have something like a 'political score' visible to potential electorate?

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 6416 comments Now that's a great idea - a score for politicians based on ethics, policy, political action, and campaign contributions. Probably too complex to keep up with, and too much action behind the scenes that's not reported. It would be great in an ideal world to see their scores.

I think so too and I'm sure businesses for the right money would be glad to provide this service. After all, politicians by choosing to be public figures waived their privacy much more than private persons...
