Through chapter 14. A lot going on but really nothing earth shattering. (view spoiler)

I finished yesterday. Another good book. There really wasn't a ton to talk about though. I'm in for book 3.

Nobody else reading this?

Samir (royceblackwater) | 842 comments I'm only a couple chapters in. Life got in the way.

No worries. I just wasn't sure if everybody bailed.

Samir (royceblackwater) | 842 comments Finished. As good as the first book. Barnes clearly invested a lot of time into worldbuilding, history and lore and I appreciate the effort but I think I would have enjoyed this series more if the less is more principle had been applied. Too many character names, places, factions and magic system were overwhelming and hard to place at times.

I agree and if you're going to give us some ominous name for a person, place or thing of historical significance you better tell us the history in more than a blurb.
