Andrew (sensibleoxymoron) | 12 comments I was adding that Jonathan Franzen's Freedom is an ALA Notable Book for Fiction (2011) when I noticed someone else had put "Oprah's Book Club Selection (2010)" for a literary award. Is "Oprah's Book Club Selection" notable enough to be included as a literary award?

I'm thinking it's a little on the iffy side, but wanted to know what others thought. Also, this is currently the only book with that distinction having been given to it.

Catalina | 2065 comments Oprah's Book Club Selection is definitely not a literary award. I removed it!
