Oakville Reads proudly stands with the Canadian Mental Health Association to support mental health.
From May 7th-May 13th we are participating in Mental Health Week to #GETLOUD about what mental health really is.
Please join us in discussing John Green’s novel Turtles All The Way Down and help to spread awareness about mental health.
John Green is outspoken about his own experiences with mental illness. If you would like to know more about the author's personal mental health journey we've shared his vlogbrothers youtube video What OCD Is Like (for Me) on the Oakville Reads main page under Videos.

Maureen B. | 212 comments I think this is awesome! Thanks for the list of resources. So many , especially young people, are struggling nowadays and this wondrous digital world is partially to blame with so many of us hiding behind our phones and tablets instead of talking to real people face-to-face.

On the plus side, it is an incredible source of information and I hope to pass this list along. :-)

Thanks Maureen, we're happy to have you join the discussion!

And you're right that we can become stuck behind our screens in the digital age, which is why it's so important to use digital platforms to spread awareness and reach out to one another.
