Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments Our May poll has ended, and the winning theme for the month is Manga, Graphic Novels, and Comic Books!

Remember that once you've finished your book(s) for the month, you're always welcome to start a discussion topic (which works best if there are others in the group who have read or are currently reading the book in question) or post your thoughts (or just drop a link to your review!) in the thread below.

As I stated last month, 2018 will be the final year of Read by Theme. (You can read more about that in last month's thread.) The poll for this month's theme was our final group poll; the rest of the year's themes are to be nominated by the remaining active members. That list is as follows:

May: Manga, Graphic Novels, and Comic Books
June: Slavery
July: Set in Italy

We currently have chosen no theme for the months of August, September, October, November, and December. Anyone who wishes to request a theme for the remaining months may do so in the thread below. As this list has already been available for nominations for a month, these slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis; please don't nominate more than one or two themes per person (per month; if you nominated last month, feel free to nominate some more this month!). If there's something you want to see, make sure to speak up while you have the chance!

Kevin | 35 comments Shame. On just coming back after 2 years at grad school. I liked the random themes.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) | 733 comments Sorry, Kevin! Congrats on grad school, though! If there are any themes you'd like to suggest for the rest of the year, feel free to drop them here.

Shomeret | 69 comments I read America, Vol. 1: The Life and Times of America Chavez which is a Marvel superhero compilation of comic books. She is a diverse superhero. I liked it, but wasn't bowled over.
