Shelly Is there anything inappropriate in this book? Language, sex, violence? I am looking for choices for my Christian book group.

Susan war, flight from home, spies, shooting enemies, greed, PTSD; if any of these themes are "inappropriate" for you, then I'd suggest a different book.

Margie Beautifully written book. Shows people helping people. Story takes place during world war II. So there are some war issues. Read the book (it won't take long) and see for yourself.

Maureen There is one scene where girls are raped by soldiers, but it is very brief and not at all descriptive or graphic.

I don't think a little sex and violence would do your Christian group any harm. The bible is chock full of Sex and Violence!

Robin P There are several scenes with Nazis threatening or carrying out cruelties toward the French or toward Jews or prisoners, also boys being trained to be cruel to each other.
