I absolutely hate reading out of order so I would say read number 5 first. It's been a while since I read the series. I'm assuming that the things that happen in number 5 are mentioned in number 6, but I can't be sure. I wish my memory was better.

You're right, I usually don't read out of order either. I hate when my holds don't cooperate.

I just looked at our discussions of the I-Team series for some guidance.

Laura, you’re missing the two novellas between #5 & #6 (#5.5 & #5.9) and one of them (#5.9) is prequel to read before #6.

With respect to #6 before #5, it’s a different story arc but you’ll miss the character progression.
