There isn't an organization that certifies claims such as, "cruelty free" or "not tested on animals." Some FINAL products may not have been tested on animals, but ingredients going into the product might have been.

The author recommends looking for products with the Leaping Bunny Seal which indicates "no new animal testing is used in any phase of product development by the company, its laboratories, or suppliers."

Kathrynn | 79 comments The author of The Mom's Guide to Growing Your Family Green... mentions that Bert's Bees got its name from a mom whose husband raised bees. His name was...Bert! They were strapped for cash and she decided to mix honey to make natural ingredients to sell. What a great job she did! Bet they are not strapped for cash anymore. :-)
