What is the correct author name, what is in the record, or what is on the book cover?

Natasha Primaditta (primaditta) | 164 comments I guess it should be what's on the book cover..

Natasha Primaditta (primaditta) | 164 comments Hi, I stumble upon a problem myself. There's a combining request to combine this two book:

1) Russian translation with the author name in Russian alphabets
2) French (original version) with author name in latin alphabets

Should the author name in Russian changed into latin then combined as usual translation, or should the name in Russian being kept as it is?

Another cases like this one:
Original -
Russian -

Russian -
original -

#3 For authors that have books published in more then one language, policy is to have the author name in the most common Roman (that is, English-language) version in the primary author slot. Other language names are then put as secondary author depending on the edition's language. This will allow all editions to be combined.
If never translated then only the original language name is required.
Note that it is policy to maintain different language profiles where appropriate - they are not merged.
