Accepted roleplaying standards.


length

min: Two to three sentences.

max: No novels. (Or epics or novelettes, please.)

Don't forget descriptions! Sure, we have character profiles and a general idea of settings, but that does nothing in-story. Write as if someone else were to read our story, who couldn't see profiles or pictures, or know anything we know—only what they read on the page.

tense

Past tense.

Third person.

conventions

Grammar and spelling (standard American, Canadian, and/or United Kingdom English spellings accepted).

characters

Members are allowed two female characters before being required to make a male one. After that, a male character will be expected per each additional female.

No famous faces will be allowed for character appearances. (So basically consider actors completely out.)

All characters will be subject to critiquing, including some grammar/spelling. Mostly just to avoid stereotypical, flat characters. This group encourages personal growth and progress in all aspects of writing. Wait for characters to be approved by Sunshine before entering them into the story.

Post no explicit material (swearing is acceptable in moderation).

Please use double parenthesis to indicate out of character comments.

pictures

Any pictures shared within the roleplay that are not part of an initial setting description should be in spoilers (ex. clothing).

other

Jumping in the middle of a scene uninvited is particularly rude and one thing that contributes to the death of a roleplay. Don't do it.
