OMFG! This is the BEST FREAKING series out right now. In fact I think it's the best series out in the last five years. 52, Civil War, Secret Invasion... they all weren't that good. Number two just came out yesterday and I've read it five times already. I know exactly what's going on(which is something Marvel's not good at doing) and I'm following it as if I'm reading a normal series that doesn't have a thousand different offshoots. I've never been a big fan of DC because their characters arent's that relatable. They aren't real, with real problems. Like Iron Man is an alcholic, and Captain America was a nobody. Superman is perfect and believes only in the "american way" and batman is rich with tons of toys. I'm so happy Geoff Johns took over Green Lantern... it's been a thousand times better.

What do think?

Nathan (ralph_nater) I'm surprised your so pleased with it to be honest. In two issues all they've done is raised the dead in several different scenarios. They have eight issues to explain what's going on and they've already wasted two with just bringing people back. I was more impressed with Final Crisis and definitely with Civil War.

have you read the offshoots? you have to read all the offshoots in order to understand it. i guess it is one of those series where you either like it and understand or you don't like it because you don't quite get what the whole thing is about. everyone has their own opinion, but i believe this is an awesome series. i can't wait for the next ones to come out because i'll be reading them before i even put them on the shelves.

Nathan (ralph_nater) I've read Blackest Night one and two as well as Batman Blackest Night. Of the three I was most impressed with the Batman one.

you need to read green lantern blackest night and green lantern corps blackest night to completely understand the whole blackest night thingy

Nathan (ralph_nater) Then Perhaps I will.

Steve Chaput (stevec50) I'm going to be honest, I had not been reading either GL title for years. I'm one of those old farts who hated what was done to Hal Jordan and never accepted "Crabface Guy"...um..Kyle as the new GL. I had so many friends raving about Sinestro Corps that I decided when Blackest Night started, to give it a chance. WOW!!

While I'm not buying all the BN tie-ins (BATMAN, SUPERMAN, etc.) the main book and the two GL titles have become the first books I grab when I pick up my order. (Well, after WALKING DEAD, to be honest!)
