Jess Scott (jesscscott) Hi all,

I would like a few more reviews (on Amazon) for my debut, coming-of-age blog/IM novel.

Here's some info:

* * *

Book Title: EyeLeash: A Blog Novel

Amazon Link: http://www.amazon.com/EyeLeash-Blog-N...

Genre: Contemporary Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Blog Fiction

Short Synopsis:

Jade Ashton is a sassy virgin. In her blog, she vents about “fitting in” a world where superficiality reigns supreme.

Suddenly all logic flies out the window when she meets Novan: a delicious songwriter-musician. They decide to be“friends-with-benefits.” But it’s Novan--with his poems and riddling passages on his own blog--that backs out.

EyeLeash captures self-discovery in the 2000s, and showcases the colorful, intricate drama in two youths’ relentless search for themselves--and what’s really in their hearts.

I will gladly send out a PDF copy (along with other details).

In return I will review your work, in any form you wish to send. Send me a list of suggested tag words and I'll do the same.

Thanks!

Jess.

I *LOVE* this idea... I would also like to get into a review exchange!!

Here is the link to my short story on Amazon:http://www.amazon.com/Convincing-Sky-...

And this is my website: www.clmoyer.com

Write me at clmoyer.author@gmail.com and I will send a PDF of my story for a review!! And actually, feedback would be great, too. I wrote Convincing Sky as a way to get my characters out there into the world while I work on the four main novels starring the same characters.

Okay... I have no idea how you did it so your links showed up as actual links -- I am still new on this site!!!

Bernadette (bernadettesimpson) Hi Jess-

I'd be happy to review your book. I am a teacher and love YA fiction! I'm interested to read a blog fiction.

Jess Scott (jesscscott) Thanks for your interest -- I'll reply your email now (:

* P.S. You need to include the "http://" in all links -- as for the Amazon link you provided, there should be a space between "Amazon:" and http://www.amazon.com/ -- I think that might work!

If that fails, manually add the HTML -- (a href="http://www.amazon.com")Amazon.co...) -- change () to <>.

Hi all. I'd be interested in a review exchange. Anyone like to do this with horror?
Regards. Andy

Kevis Hendrickson (kevishendrickson) | 105 comments I review books for other authors all the time. So if anyone would like to write an honest review for one or even both of my books, I'd be happy to review yours in exchange.

My first book is a young adult fantasy book written in the vein of The Chronicles of Narnia and the Brothers Grimm fairy tales called The Legend of Witch Bane. I can provide you with a pdf.

My second book is a space opera/science fiction action/adventure novel called Rogue Hunter. Think Flash Gordon or Star Wars except the main character is a woman. I can provide you with a MSWord doc. or better yet, if you own an Amazon Kindle, I can provide you with a copy of my Kindle book.

Although I write science fiction and fantasy, I read every genre of fiction including nonfiction. So just let me know if you're interested by positing a reply here on this thread or clicking on my profile and sending me a PM.

Thanks!

Jess Scott (jesscscott) Hi Kevis,

I could do two mutual book review exchanges with you, if you're interested, lol!

My first book's details are on the first post here.

As for my just-launched second book, 4:Play -- it's a contemporary, multiple-genre erotic short story collection.

Short Synopsis:

4:Play captures the deliciousness of sexual fulfillment, the adventure of conquest, and the mystery of unexplored territory.

Among these progressive stories, a brother and sister try to make sense of the sexual love they share; a demure young woman encounters an incubus; and two friends strike up a stimulating discussion that acts as the perfect aphrodisiac.

With a scope and style that is fresh and compelling, 4:Play dives into the depths of navigating gender, sexuality, and the lines of desire.

You can send me your PDF(s)/.doc; I'll try to get a review up in 1-2 weeks.

Jess.

Kevis Hendrickson (kevishendrickson) | 105 comments Jess,

Your books both sound interesting. I'll go ahead and send you an email along with an attachment of The Legend of Witch Bane and Rogue Hunter. That way you'll have my email address and can send me back a copy of Eyeleash and 4:play.

Once I have your books on hand, I'll begin reading them right away starting with 4:play. In my case, I don't want to speed read through your books and would prefer to take my time to give it the careful attention that it deserves. So I'll need at least 3-4 weeks to complete my review.

BTW, I am very fair about the way I go about reviewing books. I will be forthright and honest in my comments, but I also have made it a point not to post a review for any book that I cannot give at least 3 stars. This is very important because I like to post my reviews on a number of online sites including Amazon, barnesandnoble.com, Shelfari, librarything, authorsden, as well as here on GoodReads.

I'm going to send you my email right now. Please look out for it.

John Howard (johnhowardreid) | 2 comments A review exchange is an excellent idea and I'm surprised this discussion hasn't really taken off. It's just as important as tagging so far as Amazon is concerned, because searches list books by popularity and one of the indicators of popularity is the number of reader reviews. I would point out, however, that because Amazon's postings are permanent, no review is far more preferable than a negative review.
