Taken by Koko Brown!

Here's the description from Amazon:

"The playboy...

Khalid Francois Duïs is a man who isn't afraid to take what he wants. And what he wants is Olivia Bryant. His best friend's sister, she was supposed to be off limits. Instead, Olivia quickly becomes a fever in his blood he simply can't shake, and Khalid will do whatever it takes to have her.

The independent woman...

Olivia Bryant vows to never marry, instead choosing to focus on her career. But a clandestine encounter with Khalid threatens her resolve. Though her mind says no, her body screams yes. Her only option is to reject the arrogant playboy who believes a woman's place is in his bed.

When Olivia rejects Khalid's advances, he takes matters in his own hands and whisks her away to placate his obsession. From the tempestuous passion of their first encounter, across stormy seas, to a beautiful oasis in Africa, Olivia becomes his prisoner and a slave to Khalid’s all-consuming seduction."

Taida (dreadlockeddiva) | 98 comments Does anyone know the race/ethnicity of the heroine? I have been reluctant to buy this book because I wasn't sure.

Mz. Kim (ktluvs2read) | 114 comments Over I really enjoyed the book. I love the way the story was told out of order.

Mz. Kim (ktluvs2read) | 114 comments Kenya I think you will enjoy it, there were certain places where I lifted an eyebrow and was like what the what, but as a whole I loved the trip back into time. I love the main character and I liked that our did not follow the harlequin rules for writing. At one point I was like ok how do we make this right. I hope to hear your opinion of it as you read it

Tai Jamison | 6 comments I am officially a fan of Ms. Koko... Read the book in a couple of hours. Great choice for book of the month. Mr. Duis even his name was sexy. Could you be angry at the man you love for sweeping you off your feet? I don't know how she lasted as long. However I did have one question how was she able to fix her hair while she was in the desert?

Shirl In (shirlindc) | 25 comments I just purchased the book and will start tonight...just before The Strain comes on.

Ren | 291 comments I really liked it, but I have to be honest and say that it didn't read like a story from the early 1900s. There were also some things that were a little of for me, but enjoyed it still. It also reminded me of that Johanna Lindsey novel Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsey which is a plus!
