Lisa (anzlitlovers) | 108 comments Somehow this book with a contribution from Liam Davies (see https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) has been added in the last day or so to the oeuvre of Liam Davison (who has just died in the M170 crash over Ukraine). Unless it's a typo (Davison/Davies??) it shouldn't be there. I don't think Davison ever wrote SF of the Doctor Who variety, there's nothing about it in the AustLit databases that I'm aware of, though I could be wrong. This is the URL of the book I think doesn't belong. Thanks, Lisa

Z-squared | 8580 comments The profile you linked to, Liam Davies, is a horror/SF writer (see his website here: http://liamdavies.webs.com/booksandfr...). The book you linked to also has Liam Davies on it, not Liam Davison. Liam Davison's profile also looks free of anything SFish: https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

Am I missing something? Or perhaps someone has already taken care of it, although I can't see anything in the logs...

Lisa (anzlitlovers) | 108 comments That's interesting: when I search Liam Davison through the search box at the top of the screen, I get this URL and there's no mention of You and Doctor Who on it. https://www.goodreads.com/search?utf8...

It's the same at https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

But at this one, searching through the search box using Search by Book Title, Author, or ISBN I get this one, and there it is!

Weird, eh?

Z-squared | 8580 comments Ah. That's because the search tool concatenates all field info. That book has another author named Allison Davison, in addition to Liam Davies. So the search for 'Liam Davison' pulls it up because the record has both "Davison' and 'Liam' attached, not necessarily because those names occur together. The Goodreads search tool doesn't always behave in the most intuitive manner :P

Ah! I did not know that! Thank you:)
