This man must pay. Pay, I tell you!

message 2: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I actually agree with most of what he says, but this part:

He angered staff members by barring doughnuts from department meetings and announcing he would throw the fat-laden sweets away if he saw them in the break room. He also banned candy bars in the vending machines, putting in peanuts instead.

No donuts in meetings? What a strange and barren landscape...

message 3: by Meen (new)

Meen (meendee) | 1733 comments On "The Closer" one season Brenda barred sweets from the murder room.

(That's all I got.)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8993 comments I like doughnuts, but I know they're bad. I doubt anybody needed reminding on a reader-board that doughnuts aren't exactly health food.

And once in a while won't kill you, so I think Dunkin' Donuts has a case, there.

message 5: by Meen (new)

Meen (meendee) | 1733 comments Ahem. Krispy Kreme kicks DD's holey ass!

message 6: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments That's how I spell it too, Angabel.

message 7: by Knarik (new)

Knarik There are more tasty sweets.

http://fonuts.com/flavors/

Fonuts, the non-fried (baked or steamed only) LA vegan/gluten-free alternative to the regular donut. Do you want a Blood Orange donut? How bout Rosemary Olive Oil? Maple Bacon? Chorizo Cheddar? Blueberry Earl Grey?

message 11: by Robert (new)

Robert (robertstout) Psh, I grow my own.

message 12: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4253 comments I don't do donuts.

message 13: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11605 comments I'm with evie; no donuts.

message 14: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) | 107 comments Krispy Kreme is the donut of the gods. To be against Krispy Kreme is to oppose the gods.

Dunkin can sod off, though.

Amy Neftzger (neftzger) | 304 comments Tom wrote: "Krispy Kreme is the donut of the gods. To be against Krispy Kreme is to oppose the gods.

Owen Meany once asked, "What do coffee and donuts have to do with God?"

I think I understand this now. It's a cosmic war of caloric proportions.

Dunkin can sod off, though."

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

I love the traditional cinnamon donut. Krispy Kreme donuts suck big time. You may as well eat straight sugar. Blah!

message 17: by evie (new)

evie (ecie) | 4253 comments I've never had a Krispy Kreme.

message 18: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11605 comments If you go stand in line at a busy Krispy Kreme an employee will bring you a free donut to eat while you wait. Then you can walk out and save your cash! They figure most people are there to get more than one. Not me, man. Give me the sample and I'm outta here.

message 19: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24076 comments Mod
I will definitely eat a Krispy Kreme, but it's not my favorite donut. I prefer the denser donuts, like an Entenmann's.

Phil | 11605 comments Lobstergirl wrote: "I will definitely eat a Krispy Kreme, but it's not my favorite donut. I prefer the denser donuts, like an Entenmann's."

That's like eating a brick. Do you dunk?

message 21: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24076 comments Mod
No, I dunk nothing. It's not like eating a brick!

When you bite into a Krispy Kreme the whole thing collapses like a balloon. It's disconcerting.

message 22: by Jammies (new)

Jammies The Patio in Lakeside, Ohio, has the only donuts I will eat.

(LG, you would like them, they're cake donuts, not balloons)

message 23: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7069 comments I like those donuts they have in the French Quarter, New Orleans, LA. Beignets. And coffee with chicory. I'd go there now but probably too humid and hot to drink coffee.

I so agree with you Gail.

Sarah | 13815 comments I don't click on any links that involve Sally and baked goods :)

message 27: by AmyK (new)

AmyK (yakyma) Those look really good Sally. Now I feel this sudden need to ransack my kitchen for hidden junk food.

message 28: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7069 comments Oh right you are Sarah Pi. And I don't click on anything involving Pinterest.
Or cupcakes with lady parts.

message 34: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11605 comments Anti-donut propaganda MUST CONTINUE.

That looks horrid. A lump of fried dough with artificial coloring, smothered in sugar. Put it on a stick and sell it at the Iowa State Fair.

message 35: by Jammies (new)

Jammies It looks like a Froot Loop on steroids.

message 36: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17320 comments Mod
Thank you Phil for that.

Are you sure you're not Clark posting as Phil?

message 37: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11605 comments Clark would have had much more descriptive language, likely including multiple similes.

message 38: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17320 comments Mod
Sometimes that's how I think his sarcasm and bitter irony hurt less.

message 39: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24076 comments Mod
I would totally eat those.

Although doughnuts is pretentious. Get over yourselves, doughnut-spellers. Just go with FUCKING DONUT, will you?? Marthafuckingstewart.

message 40: by Phil (new)

Phil | 11605 comments LG, do people hiccup or hiccough?

message 41: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24076 comments Mod
It depends where they live, and in what decade. Modern people hiccup.

message 42: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17320 comments Mod
Donut is totally the trashier spelling of that word.

I bet you prefer expresso to espresso, too.

message 43: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24076 comments Mod
I don't know what expresso is.

message 44: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) You have to learn to espress yourself.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

I am okay with donut call me trashie if you want. I'm comfortable with that. :)

Cynthia Paschen | 7069 comments Gail wrote: "I am okay with donut call me trashie if you want. I'm comfortable with that. :)"

No, actually you would be "trashy."

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

Trashy? Spelling was never my thing!

message 49: by Amy (new)

Amy Neftzger (neftzger) | 304 comments I think I'm going to give my name as "Trashie" the next time they ask for it in Starbucks. I'll make sure that they spell it right, too. I'll explain that it's a combination of Tracy, Ashley, and Evie.

message 50: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17320 comments Mod
Evie, Lg, and Gail.
