Here is the nominations thread for June's Book of the Month and Group Buddy.

If you're looking for any ideas...
-You can nominate a book by the Author's of the Month for June, which is Karen Witemeyer
-You can nominate one that will work for the monthly challenge for June, which is about couples/marriage (find Cheryl's full description of it here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/....
-Or just nominate the next CF book in your to-read pile! :)

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books....
-Remember that a book must be out for 6 months or more to be eligible for nominations and voting
-Try not to nominate an author that we've read that year already
-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.
-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decision. Thank you for your understanding! :)

Nominations will be open through April 15.

Nominations as of April 14:
1. A Worthy Pursuit by Karen Witemeyer
2. Summer of Promise by Amanda Cabot
3. Miranda Warning by Heather Day Gilbert
4. The Austen Escape by Katherine Reay
5. No Other Will Do by Karen Witemeyer
6. Never Forget by Jody Hedlund
7. The Space Between Words by Michèle Phoenix
8. At Every Turn by Anne Mateer
9. Deadly Encounter by DiAnn Mills

I nominate A Worthy Pursuit (A Worthy Pursuit, #1) by Karen Witemeyer by Karen Witemeyer. I haven't read it yet, and it's on my list for June, as Ms. Witemeyer is the featured author.

Awesome! It's been a long time since I read a Witemeyer book. I need to get back to it.

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 945 comments Nice! I have already read both of those and will be glad to hop in on some discussions.

Megan | 83 comments I have actually never read a book by Karen Witemeyer... But I have No Other Will Do and I was planning on reading it in June since she is the author of the month so this works out great! :)

By the way, No Other Will Do is currently $1.59 on Kindle. Good time to grab it for the group read in case the deal doesn't last that long.

Thanks, Beth! I grabbed a copy. It should be easier to read than the NetGalley copy I have. (I'm sooooo behind on NGs, obviously.)

Boy that must have not lasted long because I just clicked the link and it says $14.99 KU is zero. Thank goodness my library has it!

Oh, wow. I wonder if the deal was supposed to expire on 4/30, and there was a delay on setting it back to regular price. They tend to set things that way, but I thought maybe it had just started today. Sorry, Loraine! :(

message 24: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 945 comments Whew! That ebook costs more than a paperback now.

That's exactly what I thought Hannah!

Hannah wrote: "Whew! That ebook costs more than a paperback now."

Right?? I'd just go in for a "real" copy with that price comparison.

message 27: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn V | 247 comments I have also planned to read this book next month, anyway; being author of the month and I had purchased it earlier for a kindle discount also. No Other Will Do (Ladies of Harper’s Station, #1) by Karen Witemeyer an author new to me also.

message 28: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah Brown | 43 comments I've also read both of these from Witemeyer this year. So, I'll plan to join in but not re-read yet! :)

message 29: by Melinda (new)

Melinda Freeland (melindafreeland) | 14 comments I've never read any of this author's novels before, but this book looks good so I bought it and will be joining in the June discussion.

message 30: by Lila (new)

Lila Diller | 291 comments My library is very slow, but I actually found No other will do and another book by this author today, so I can actually join in this month! Yay!

message 31: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 945 comments Both books are tons of fun!
