just wanted you to know i started! got about 21% in. I'm really liking it.

love the alternating chapters and how we see the past from different perspectives. think its working well in creating the mystery and creepiness.

just got past the part where they found Sonia's body. so tragic :(
anxious to learn more about why she froze up during the fight at supper.

for some reason I'm not totally sold on Fiona the main character yet. I can't put my finger on it though. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[really intrigued as to Sonia's background. want to know why there are no records of her, and how it all relates to her death.

im conflicted on Fiona's sister's murder, at least in regards to who killed her. i dont know, is it possible Tim didn't do it? strange that the ice cream parlor owner claimed Tim was there at 9 pm, even though he was really there at 4 pm. everything we learn about Tim seems to paint him as a not-great dude, but i just have the feeling there's more to the death? I agree with you about there being more to the death. I'm quite intrigued now. I thought the book was dragging a bit in the very beginning, but it's picked up the pace now! (hide spoiler)]

I left my book at work so I didn't get to read it this weekend :( It's due back in a couple of days so I'll have to finish it soon, but definitely don't feel like you have to rush... I am happy to hang out in this thread!!!

just got to chapter 17, p 159
(view spoiler)[the scene where fiona trespassed on the property and saw the ghost was pretty cool!
chapter 14's flashback with CeCe was so sad. i cant believe her mother tried to kill her. curious to see how the radio that was gifted to her will play into the rest of the story, if at all.
chapter 15 - glad Fiona didn't mention to Margaret that she had the school files. so far i dont have any reason to trust Margaret so the less she knows about what Fiona knows, the better.
also, are you getting the sense that something may brew between Fiona and Anthony? i dont know, im getting a weird vibe. and im not totally sold on Jamie yet.
my hunch is that dinner with his family will not go well, lol.

ok i only just read chapter 18 but (view spoiler)[OF COURSE THAT DINNER DIDNT GO WELL what the hell, fiona and jamie! i can't stand jamie now, or his dad lol. i DEFINITELY dont trust jamie's dad. i had forgotten that he was the one who told the ice cream store owner to lie. hmmm. i think he had something to do with sonia's murder. and can these ppl PLEASE STOP SHARING CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION WITH EACH OTHER! reading that is so stressful! the scene with Roberta was cool. i want to know what roberta knows, i know she's hiding something! lol

i probably wont read any more of it today, and finish it up tmrw before i bring it back to the library lol

(view spoiler)[ughhhh i feel so bad reading Sonia's chapters because I know she's going to die :( she's so hopeful that her grandparents are going to keep her... this poor girl :(

so it seems like Tim really did kill Deb, based on the accusation that he tried to kill that other woman he was with. What a scumbag... I thought maybe he didn't have anything to do with Deb's murder, but now I have a theory... i'll get to it later lol

ok and now i REALLY hate Jamie, and his dad... he's an awful boyfriend!!! chapter 25 really pissed me off! lol (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Unfortunately, I liked the second part of the book less than the first part. It felt a little flat, maybe because there was too much going on. And I didn't really like that the killer was that Nazi woman. I don't know, it just felt that the author wanted to create intrigue, but in the end decided to go with the easiest solution.
