Understood, Barb.
Just to clarify though in case someone thinks they have to read series books back to back. It's okay to use several different series for the challenge so that you don't read series books back to back. Also - there is the other option of using series titles that contain a word that begins with the letter "A".

*****CHALLENGE COMPLETE 3/29/19*****

So, would this series work for this challenge??

Karen wrote: "I am currently reading Sue Grafton Kinsey Milhone series. I started the series last year. The first book is A is for Alibi and I am now about half way through the series,..."
That is a "K" series title (Kinsey Millhone) Karen, so no it wouldn't. We will eventually get to "K", but you will probably be done with the series before we do :)

Barb wrote: "So the books don't all have to be from the same series, as long as the series name -- or a word in the series name -- starts with A?"
That is exactly right, Barb. You do not have to read from the same series. You just need to read books from a series that you have already started - working with series titles that begin with "A", or with a series in which you find a word that begins with "A" in the series title. Even something like this would work: Chief Inspector Armand Gamache series - the connection being "Armand" in the series title.
Does that help?

Welcome to the challenge, Bonita and Connie.
Bonita - I need to update my FictFact so badly. I don't keep track of it like I should.

Yes it does :) Now I just have to look through my series and see which books I might want to commit to in the next few months :) Thanks, jingles!

Connie N. wrote: "Jingles, I'm scheduled to read Along Came a Spider (1st in the Alex Cross series) before too long. Then can I read #2 and so forth for this challenge? Even though I didn't actually start the series..."
Yes, Connie, that will work. I'm sure the first book has been on your TBR for a while ...right?
Or am I just enabling you to start a new series? Lol

I should probably clarify here...
We're all going to start new series in the course of working this challenge. I don't want to restrict any future series that would work.
I hope what I'm saying makes sense. If not, let me know.

Teri-K wrote: "Several of my series begin with the word "A" - like "A Bookmobile Cat Mystery". Can I use that for this challenge? If I do, does that mean I can't use it for the B challenge when it comes along, or..."
Yes - you are welcome to use it for "A", Teri-K.
You can use the "A" or ignore it. And you are welcome to use it in one place, and ignore it in another...so yep - doubling up like that is okay with me.

Awesome! Thanks. :)
I just finished rereading the Alpha & Omega series, bad timing on my part. So I'm digging for others. :)

***** CHALLENGE COMPLETE 9/24 *****
Welcome to the challenge, Barb! Thanks for joining us!!
I think the scary part about this challenge (at least for me) is that once I actually put down what books I'm going to read ahead of time, I almost always end up NOT reading those books.
I suspect that when it's all said and done, the books I actually do read won't look anything like the list I currently have in place.

Bonita - I need to update my FictFact so badly. I don't keep track of it like I should."
I lose an afternoon every so often just trying to keep FictFact up-to-date with what I'm actually wanting to read on Goodreads. It seems repetitive, but I like how FictFact is set up.
Bonita - I really like the way FictFact is set up too for tracking series. They do a really good job of that.
I think what I need to do is set a reminder for the last day of the month (each month) to update my FictFact. I already have a couple of challenges that I just do monthly updates on, so it would fall right into place...if I could just remember to do it.
