Here's hoping every team can win the first home game. If not, a team may have some revenue issues for the season. If a team can't win it's first home game, it cant sell any more beer the rest of the season. After all, how can you sell beer if you lose the opener?
They weren't going anywhere...Twins and Tribe are class of the AL Central. But watch out for the White Sox in '19
Mendel doesn't like Judge or Bellinger or anyone else with an uppercut swing. He believes that until Yanks mature at the plate they will not get past a team with superior pitching like the Astros. It is little wonder to me that they have veterans rather than rookies at 2nd and 3rd to start the year. I wonder how longer Tyler Austin lasts at 1st. Think they will gamble and bring back Holliday?

Play ball!

Another thought is that Syndergaard is a decent hitting pitcher. And yesterday's presser was the first time I saw deGrom without the long locks. Looked strange...

I am await and ready for games to begin. We have our MLB.tv so we can watch all 15 games. Today is tg only game we can watch until Monday unless there are Day games tomorrow and we are taking full advantage. Time to fly the w!

Watched an interesting prediction show where all the favorites are the winners from last year. One thing I do know, as dynamite as the Astros looked in 2018, it`s awful tough to repeat. ( Yankees- 1999 & 2000 I believe )

& very happy to have Mendel with us

Watched an interesting prediction show where all the favorites are the ..." The Phillies repeated NL flags in 2008 and 2009. I think the Astrps are better than the Phillies and will win the flag. The world series is so hard to predict, but i think they will have home field advantage in the series. Astros over the Cubs. Let me add my wishes for a Happy passover and a sunny Easter for all. Let the games begin..... and so the Lord gave us a hard ball and piece of wood to use for entertainment!

That's what the Israelites said the first time they saw Samson after the Delilah escapade affair--and look what happened to him.

Happy hoping Cubs over Yankees in epic series and Michigan beating Villanova in title game on Monday. Mendel and I are missing semis. Here's to three straight games on tv today and a whole wonderful season!!

That saddens me to no end, especially the heroes of our youth.
RIP Rusty
Mike Linn

That is sad-a hero of the Mets as well. I hate to say it but he probaly ate too much of his own cooking-high salt

I had never realized how much humanitarian things he had done. There was a reason he was so popular.

Harold I picked Nova over Kansas because Jalen Brunson graduated from the same high school as me albeit much later. However I'd love to see UM win. And in a perfect world Loyola would win but I just don't see it happening.

Cubs should win by 2 touchdowns

The great thing about the Cubbies this year is that they start off with back-to-back train-wrecks. They could very easily be 6-0 out of the gate. Then they get Pittsburgh soon also.

Mike Linn" Phillies are batting their shortstop JP Crawford 9th in the line-up

Anyone see this K-ZONE 3D ? With it they don`t need robots calling pitches as it was instantaneous.

No surprise to me - most of his great play last year came from the 8 or 9 hole. It will stay Dozier and Mauer in the top two slots this year. Maybe Buxton moves to lead off next year after Dozier leaves

And now, 2 HAPPS-2 HOMERS, The Cubs Happ hit one, the Jays Happ gave up one ( to Stanton ) also in the 1st

Not sharp, but Thor gets the win for the Mets. Even though he retired soon after I moved out here, I do miss Bob Murphy's happy recaps

And possibly Jesus Christ Superstar on NBC -waves to John Legend-

That's only in the minor leagues, right? I don't like it now. But when I get to see it in place when I catch a few minor league games later in the summer, I'll let you know.
How about Matt Davidson hitting three homers for the White Sox today? Probably the quietest three home run game ever on opening day
Took a shutout to beat Kershaw...and it was a strange looking homer by Panik. Happy for the local kid.
