Old Hollywood romantic fiction, rising starlet falls in love with married co-star

Some more information: the actress I think her stage name was Carly Caine who I think is from Florida and makes her way to Hollywood to become an actress. I believe it's the 50s, maybe early 60s? She lives in a house with two other aspiring actresses with one being named Verbeena, nicknamed Bee. Carly falls in love with her costar, who is Irish and married, during the filming of a movie based on Rahab (I think) in Palm Springs. Carly, however, has a secret past that involves her prostituting herself and eventually this catches up to her. I remember she has a fox fur collar suit and I think this very expensive bottle of perfume that she treasures.

I read it in 2012, bought a paperback from an English-language bookstore in Berlin. I think it was new at the time and it got lost when I moved back to the US.
