There are many romances within the novel. Perhaps the most drawn out, is the doomed romance between Jo and Laurie. Disregarding this particular relationship, do you think the the romances between the sisters and their eventual husbands was rushed within the length of the book?

Definitely. The first time I read Little Women I was shocked by their love lives because there did not seem to be adequate time for such relationships to be built.
