Let's head to Spain's energetic capital Madrid - often called the city that never sleeps.

✱ The documented history of Madrid dates back to the 9th century and has been the capital of Spain since 1602.
✱ With over 3 millions people, it is the largest city of Spain and the 3rd largest city in the European Union.
✱ It is located at the geographic center of the Iberian Peninsula and is 650 meters or 2000 feet above sea level making it the highest capital city in Europe.
✱ Madrid enjoys more cloudless days than almost any other city in Europe.
✱ Madrid is a major financial center of the Iberian Peninsula and has been said to have more enormous banks per mile than anywhere else in the world.

Madrid’s Golden Art Triangle is created by the big three major art galleries in the city. First there is The Prado Museum where you can feast your eyes on the works of old masters like Goya and Velázquez. The second is the Reina Sofia where you can see Picasso’s famous anti-war painting: Guernica. And last is the eclectic Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum where you’ll get a crash course in the history of Western art.

It is the perfect place to experience Madrid's vibrant culture and night life while exploring the shops and restaurants. Snap a picture of the bear and the tree statue and don't miss the famous San Ginés Chocolaterie known for their delectable sweets since 1894.
