Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 197 comments Cheryl, does it have to be the exact form or would rise work for risen as well?

message 4: by Cheryl, Challenges Mastermind (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 1875 comments Mod
Great question Agnieszka - yes I will accept rise! If it’s a form of the word with the same intention I think it works!

message 5: by Chris (new)

Chris | 380 comments I am in . Hope to do all of them.

message 6: by Chris (new)

Chris | 380 comments Should Lilly be lily?

message 7: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1809 comments In for two or three.

I'm trying to get a copy of Remember the Lilies

I have a couple others that I may be able to fit in.

I'm in! Not sure yet how many I will do. I'll aim low for now and go with 2.

Easter: The Women of Easter: Encounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth, and Mary Magdalene

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 1875 comments Mod
Chris- yes you are right- suppose to be lily like the flower, but will accept the other spelling of a woman’s name as well. :)

message 10: by Sarita (last edited Apr 05, 2018 06:05AM) (new)

Sarita | 1691 comments I'm going to try 1-2 titles- Palm branches are Waving

Cross - When Dreams Cross - finished 4/3/2018
Bonus - Tomb - Christ Arose: A Tomb's Tale - finished 4/4/2018

I'm in but am just going to see what I end up with. I really need to focus on reviews and books I own this month. May not end up with any LOL:)

message 14: by Charlene (new)

Charlene | 538 comments I'm in aiming for "Palm branches are Waving" to start with. I'm not sure what I am going to read yet but I like some of the books recommended in previous threads so let's see how the month goes :)

message 15: by Amy (new)

Amy (amyrvilla) | 20 comments I will aim for 4 or 5 and focus on Christian non-fiction:
Easter: I also want to read The Women of Easter Encounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth, and Mary Magdalene by Liz Curtis Higgs My library has the audio version so I'd love to listen to this.
Jesus: Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ by John Piper
Life: Weakness Is the Way Life with Christ Our Strength by J.I. Packer
Not sure of the rest.

message 16: by Bonny (new)

Bonny (bonnybonnybeth) | 1010 comments Yay! I'm in for "He Is Risen!" but if things go well, I'll try for "The tomb is empty!" I just bought The Tomb: A Novel of Martha yesterday!

message 17: by Lila (new)

Lila Diller | 427 comments I will try to read at least one, but I realized that two of the books I was planning to use for this don't actually have the words in the title. I even bought Geneva: Garden of Joy only because the author posted that it had a lot of Easter traditions in it, and then I realized that the title didn't reflect that. :( Oh, well.

message 18: by Bonny (new)

Bonny (bonnybonnybeth) | 1010 comments I finished my first book on Easter Day!

Easter - A Family For Easter A Family For Easter (Rescue River) by Lee Tobin McClain

message 19: by Bonny (new)

Bonny (bonnybonnybeth) | 1010 comments And then I spent the afternoon with the perfect choice for Easter:

Tomb - The Tomb: A Novel of Martha The Tomb A Novel of Martha (The Living Water, #3) by Stephanie Landsem
A wonderful story of faith, redemption, and resurrection! Highly recommend it!

#1 Shackled Lily (Winsor, #2) by T.L. Gray

message 21: by Agnieszka (new)

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 197 comments Cheryl, can I use the German aquivalent for a word?

The only suitable book for cross I own or have access to would be the German translation of The Cross and the Switchblade - the German title is a literal translation called Das Kreuz und die Messerhelden - Kreuz is the German word for cross.

message 22: by Chris (new)

Chris | 380 comments Have read:
From the Cross to Pentecost by TD Jakes
Easter Escapade - Kathi Daley
He Chose the Nails - Max Lucado
This is love - Max Lucado
Sweet Tea and Jesus Shoes - Deborah Smith & other authors

Way to go Staci! I posted that I didn't know if I would get to this one and I didn't. Hope to do better in May.

At least I am in VERY good company Hannah!

message 30: by Beth, Head Librarian (new)

Beth | 2362 comments Mod
Glad I aimed low and only went for two. Both of my non-fiction titles for the month worked:

Easter The Women of Easter Encounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth, and Mary Magdalene by Liz Curtis Higgs
Life Freefall to Fly A Breathtaking Journey Toward a Life of Meaning by Rebekah Lyons

message 31: by Cheryl, Challenges Mastermind (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 1875 comments Mod
It's ok everyone- this one was tougher to pull off so maybe next month with the Persons in uniform challenge :)

message 32: by Caroline (new)

Caroline | 543 comments I aimed for 2, but got only 1.

Life - The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck

message 33: by Hannah (new)

We book geeks have to stick together Hannah! Sometimes we just can't accomplish everything we'd like to.

message 35: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (bookwormhannah) | 1809 comments So true!

message 36: by Sarita (new)

Sarita | 1691 comments My aim was: I'm going to try 1-2 titles- Palm branches are Waving

So I managed to get 3 including the bonus.

Cross - When Dreams Cross - finished 4/3/2018
He - The Man He Never Was: A Modern Reimagining of Jekyll and Hyde
Bonus - Tomb - Christ Arose: A Tomb's Tale - finished 4/4/2018

message 37: by Amy (new)

Amy (amyrvilla) | 20 comments I meet my goal with 4. It was a good incentive for me to focus on my non-fiction reads:

Easter: I read and listened to The Women of Easter Encounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth, and Mary Magdalene by Liz Curtis Higgs

Jesus: Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ by John Piper

Life: Weakness Is the Way Life with Christ Our Strength by J.I. Packer

Is: 12 Ways Your Phone Is Changing You by Tony Reinke
I listened to and read this.

message 38: by Bonny (new)

Bonny (bonnybonnybeth) | 1010 comments I made my goal of He Is Risen with four books:

Easter: A Family For Easter A Family For Easter (Rescue River) by Lee Tobin McClain

Tomb: The Tomb: A Novel of Martha The Tomb A Novel of Martha (The Living Water, #3) by Stephanie Landsem

New: Old New Amsterdam Old New Amsterdam (Time for Kids Readers) by Randi Hacker

Life: The Secret Life of Prince Charming The Secret Life of Prince Charming by Deb Caletti (caution: extensive language)
