I nominate Ghost Talkers by Mary Robinette Kowal.
during World War I, is engaged to Captain Benjamin Harford, an intelligence officer. Ginger is a medium for the Spirit Corps, a special Spiritualist force.
Each soldier heading for the front is conditioned to report to the mediums of the Spirit Corps when they die so the Corps can pass instant information about troop movements to military intelligence.
Ginger and her fellow mediums contribute a great deal to the war efforts, so long as they pass the information through appropriate channels. While Ben is away at the front, Ginger discovers the presence of a traitor. Without the presence of her fiance to validate her findings, the top brass thinks she's just imagining things. Even worse, it is clear that the Spirit Corps is now being directly targeted by the German war effort. Left to her own devices, Ginger has to find out how the Germans are targeting the Spirit Corps and stop them. oooooh this one sounds really neat!
I've got it added to our nominations list :) I'm still contemplating which I'm going to nominate myself...

I’d like to nominate Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

I’d like to nominate Pet Sematary by Stephen King."
I’ve heard mixed reviews on it. (Naomi’s room) I’m interested to see if it lives up to all the claims of it being “creepy”. I was considering nominating a paranormal romance instead but I’ve been in the mood for something creepy so I decided I would rather throw this one is as my nomination.
I’ve got Pet Sematary in the nomination list :) I’ve see then movie but haven’t read the book yet.

Skimming over reviews looks like a lot of others agree with you about the cover lol
got it on the nomination list :)

Since Valeria nominated it I will count that as your seconding it :)
Everyone is allowed both a second and a nomination so if you think of another paranormal book you want to add in as your nomination just let me know :)

And I second Pet Sematary because it's apparently a friend's favorite and a tragedy I've never read it. ^_^

Paranormal books involve unusual experiences that lack a scientific explanation. Some popular subjects in paranormal books are supernatural creatures, ESP, clairvoyance, ghosts, UFOs, telepathy, and psychics.
A sub genre of paranormal books and of romances is paranormal romance. These books focus mainly on the romantic relationships with a background theme of vampires, shapeshifters, ghosts, time travel, fantastical beings, and psychic abilities.
