Poet,
Samantha Clough
This is such a cliché.
I’ve been honest with you from the start.
My feelings didn’t change.
Yet, you had to keep pushing me.
Even when we had a perfect day…
Nothing was good enough.
I’m a simple person but you had to have everything.
Everything that I couldn’t be.
It sounds like a song.
My life is not your toy.
I’m not a doll to be shelved.
This is me!
I asked for so little.
Money was never an issue.
I was fine following your lead.
But now its over.
(I don’t want you!)

Poet : Edward Davies
All I ever wanted was a pony
Failing that a tiny little horse
All I ever wanted was a million bucks
Or a million more of course
All I ever wanted was to relax
And never have to work another day
All I ever wanted was a bit of free time
And a method of receiving free pay
All I ever wanted was a spaceship
A vessel that would take me to the stars
All I ever wanted was a million bucks
And a million sporty cars
All I ever wanted was a poem
Failing that a ditty or a song
All I ever wanted was to write these words
But it’s taken me far too long

Lonely days
I'm so used to those
I'm new to your touch
and so used to cold
Hold me in your arms
Comfort me with your warmth
I drift off into a dream
Forget about the things I don't have
You're everything I need
The only temptation I desire
Before, I didn't know what it was
Imagine the sensation once acquired
I found out it was love
I elevate at my Queen's sight
and I'm way up, hon!
My every state is dreamlike
One I don't want to wake up from
You're everything good, girl
If they try to offer me better, I laugh
With you, all I ever wanted
I already have
