I may give Anansi Boys a re-read next month, it's been a long time since I read it and I wonder if I will feel any different about it after so long.

I may do a reread of Anansi Boys as well. I remember enjoying it but can't remember the plot. I did really like Mr Nancy in both books.
They make him quite nasty in the TV series of American God's though

Falynn - the TyGrammarSaurus Rex | 514 comments Got both Anansi Boys and American Gods piled up to re-read. Not sure if I'll get through both next month along with everything else, but we'll see.

Probably won't read Shape of Water - going to try to get all three Darker Shades of Magic read so I can use Book 3 as my energy cell! But haven't even started Book 1 yet...

(Also, my first ever BotM suggestion won! Yippee!)

It took me a year to get a book voted in. Ah well.

message 6: by Ryan (new)

Ryan I remember my first one. Everybody hated it.

what was it?

message 8: by Margo (new)

Margo I'm hoping to listen to all three of this months books - I won't guarantee to get them all done during April though.

message 9: by Steve (new)

Steve | 158 comments I'll give Shape of Water a shot if my library copy comes in on time. Not keen on movie tie-ins, but I love Guillermo del Toro.

I've already read Anansi Boys, so will likely pass, but if I have time I'll read the first in the V. E. Schwab series (I've heard many good things).

Jacqueline | 6 comments Currently listening to Lenny Henry read me The Anansi Boys when I'm in the car by myself. Really enjoying it.

Dont worry Paul, I've been here for years and still haven't gotten a book voted in. Someone did get Retribution Falls voted in and I did some legwork there so I can count that as a 0.5

Sandy | 1636 comments LOL I feel so bad for you both. Makes me want to vote based on who and not what...

I liked The Bone Clocks Ryan. It was my first group read.

message 15: by Maria Hill (new)

Maria Hill AKA MH Books (mariahilldublin) Do people recommend rereading American Gods before Anansi Boys? I read AG when it first came out and forget most of it but have yet to read Anansi Boys.

I loved the Bone Clocks too!

I think Anansi Boys sits well enough by itself, it's a completely separate story

That one's on my to-read list! Sorry I missed it. D:

Read Anansi Boys a while back. Great read, but not doing a reread.

I was among those not overly fond of Bone Clocks.

And I've never had a book I suggested make it as BOTM. :P
