Our second Sir Walter Scott novel for this year will be the second tale of the Crusades; The Talisman.

Now that was implausible" moments. But with Scott, I mostly had to enjoy the adventure and not worry about plausibility. He did write one novel that had a lot of realism in it, St. Ronan's Well. It was no fun and I ended up giving it 3 stars!

I did read this one and thought it was better than The Betrothed and Count Robert of Paris. There were a lot of what the heck moments, but it was a fun read.
