Editors are not included on works that are by a single author, only for anthologies or other volumes that feature the works of multiple authors.

It is to notify other librarians not to spend unnecessary effort in adding every name, because some names are repeated :-)

And it's "be aware" not "beware".

If you wish to unclaim your author profile, you would have to contact Support (@ goodreads.com), but the profile itself will remain, as they are automatically generated when a book is added.
