Sam Howdy! I know very little about poetry but I like putting words together. Hope some of them stick with you.

Sam Disembodiment
13 lines - 4 stanzas

I was not made from mercy
My leaded feet drag for days
Even when things are easy

I was not birthed in benignancy
My role model was the person
I settled to be that day

The chore of life is heavy
And unknowingly infinite

At least when I’m forced to
Cry into dirty dishes
The watermarks camouflage
With the sink and tears
And drained wishes

Sam Summer Independence
12 lines - 3 stanzas

“If I could do it by myself, I would”
she said aloud as he soothed her
sun kissed back with lotion, thick as the humidity
she mused at her made up motto of marriage

he amicably endured the storm
while witnessing, caressing.
In awe of her seasoned body before him
he felt the lighting in his fingertips

for a hot second,
a forecasted demise in the relationship
they both calmed and knew
they would rather weather the storm together

Sam That One Time I Stole Some Art
9 lines -3 stanzas

I lifted the art because I wanted you forever
Painted pieces of personal portrayals
Collecting dust

Those blackened brown hills never appealed more to me
Then when I tasted the heat off your body
In the bliss of the neon Vegas lighting

One night, I dreamt that I was rescued by a better version
Of myself, who also stole my sweetness
Awakened, I vie
