Kat (neko_cat86) | 3 comments First off, thank you for your help on my last request. This one is harder, I don't remember the cover at all.

I read this in the late 90's, possibly early 2000's. The setting is the near future. I'm not sure if I got it new or if it was from a thrift store, it may have even been a library book. So I'm not sure what the publication year could be.

It is set in the near future and there is a corporation that can scan your mind and give you the ability to re-experience your past memories through virtual reality. It's mainly used by the elderly.

Protagonist is a teenager and accidentally gets to see the memories of either a grandparent or an elderly neighbor. The story consists of a lot of flashbacks and seeing this other person's life and memories.
