LGandT | 52 comments I finally finished Codex Of Light. If you like a lite fantasy that reminds you of Dune and Lord Of The Rings, but not as heavy, then this one is for you.

LGandT | 52 comments Jules Verne

This is a great fantasy story, if you take it with some serious grains of salt. The imagery is marvelous, the pace is very fast. Keeps your attention throughout.

LGandT | 52 comments The Grimswell Curse Review
Sam Siciliano

This would have been 5 stars if it had not gotten so blasted repetitive: We know Henry wants and loves his Michele, we know Rose is a large woman, we know Dartmoor is cold and windy. Aside from those and a few other annoyances of a similar nature, this was a good story and I would recommend it.

LGandT | 52 comments A few more Summer reads reviews. Being so hot you can get alot of reading done, hope everyone who is in the hot part of the world keeps cool and those in the cold part keep warm :)

Ondine: Shannon Drake
That took a bit of a twist I didn't expect. This one is fun and takes you right back to 1680, even if you do put it down. Highly recommended. for an action packed sometimes erotic romance

Breakwater: Errin Stevens
Lovely summer read. It got a bit political for a while but since it had nothing to do with current politics then it was a nice distraction from real life. Definitely recommended

Everything was fine until I read "Morries Room".  I lost it after that, I had not realized I had become so emotionally involved.  This is by no mean a lite read but its most definitely worth the read.  It got me right in the gut

LGandT | 52 comments Some reviews, from Dracula's Brethren

Manor-Karl Heinrich Ulrichs
By today's standard this is very tame but when it was written its a wonder they didn't do to him what he described. I liked it.

Old Aeson-Arthur Quiller-Couch
Well the introduction said it was a humorous tale...............I didn't think it was, maybe I just missed the humor {I couldn't find this one listed here on GR??}

LGandT | 52 comments Blessing Of Luna Wolf Gods #1
Blaise Ramsay

I liked this one, but to be completely honest I am more of a Vampire lover.  I would highly recommend this one to any lover of Werewolves or for those who are maybe fence sitters as to where to place their loyalties.  Lots of action, lots of lovemaking.  If I loved Werewolves more than I do, I would have been in ecstasy over this one.  I will still give this one a 5 star even though it was not my cup of tea, it is still a very great book

Was just to -Let's go to America- for my taste, much like A Study In Scarlet . I suppose I just prefer my Holmes in the fog shrouded London streets heavily misted Moors or in a carriage down the lane

The Great Ruby Robbery by Grant Allen: The Rivals Of Sherlock Holmes
This was fun. Didn't figure who did it till the end

LGandT | 52 comments Sherlock Holmes/Conan Doyle reviews of

Been doing some catching up with my Holmes reviews.

The Final Problem
I have to give this one to the Granada Series. Seeing Watson there in tears could not have been more heartbreaking

The Empty House
Gotta give this one to the novel, even though Granada showed much more emotion

The Priory School
I like the novel of this much better than the series.

The Second Stain
I am glad Granada omitted that tacky scene with Lady Hilda

The Musgrave Ritual
I really liked this one

LGandT | 52 comments A couple of Poe reviews

The Pit And The Pendulum
I first heard Vincent Price read this and I thought he did just that great a job, well he did but this is an excellent story of fear and terror without gore that so many modern writers rely on rather than psychological terror, which is much more satisfying. I can not even count how many times I squirmed around reading this one.

Tale Of The Ragged Mountains
This one I think is quite haunting in a weird sort of way

I fell in love with Quinlan I think before Trinity did. The language was a bit out of the time frame but the story itself made up for that. "Lustful" that can't be said enough with this one

LGandT | 52 comments Its been a while since I have done a review so here are two. :)

The Coven Murders {Inspector Sheehan Mysteries 3}
Brian O'Hare

This one got me right from the beginning. A rather gruesome {well to me anyway} murder. Kept my interest even though it was a tad much for me, I seem to like my crime a bit more lighthearted

Murder On The Orient Express
Agatha Christie

I won't lie about this, if it had not been narrated by that particular person I doubt I would have enjoyed it at all. As it is though I really enjoyed it.

I love the continuation. I always liked the vivid details that are written, you're really there. Anyone with a Christian religion upbringing who has an interest in fantasy works should really five these books a try. They are not a heave read so they are a pleasant way to pass some time
