Hi,I am a Goodreads Author and I'm soon going to self publish my book. However, I've changed my book cover slightly and I can't delete the old one as only a librarian can do that? Help!

its necessary to create another edition with the new cover. Its called: alternate cover edition.
We do this to allow people to shelve the exact edition they own.

Send the new cover link here. As it was not shelved yet, its wont be a problem to make that change.

Followed the link you provided and went to my books page, clicked on add new edition, and filled it out per the directions in the link but it appears to have created a whole new book listing (I entered the ISBN and indicated it was an ACE in the description box like it said to do). How do I get this new edition to link to my existing books page?

re 10, your photo link doesn't work. i'd recommend uploading the photo to your author profile's 'more photos' section.Also, please note that Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers because users like to shelve the edition that matches your own. So if you intend to change covers but keep the same ASIN or ISBN, we will make something called an alternate cover edition (ACE) for you instead of swapping out the old cover. As the author, you can then set the ACE as the default edition, which is what will appear on your author page and in search results by title.

David, did you already upload the new cover image? I'm not seeing it, sorry :( If you already did, try uploading it to the 'more photos' section of the actual book (go to edit, then click on 'add additional images' on the right). Only as a temporary measure, of course, because alt covers aren't supposed to go there, but sometimes that's easier for librarians to see if for whatever reason authors have trouble uploading it to their profile.if you haven't uploaded the new cover yet, then I (or another librarian) will create your ACE when you do. Just post back here again with the link.
