Jared | 22 comments Oh, and does anyone know which stories/novellas (unpublished) that you can get emailed to you? I.e. White Sands etc.?

message 8: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments Great article. Thanks for l

message 9: by Kenneth (new)

Kenneth Geary (kennethhayes) | 118 comments I got White Sands emailed to me, but I know it's going to be released in graphic novel form so i'm not sure if he's still sending it out or not.

message 10: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments Can it be downloaded from somewhere?

message 11: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments I know there's a bit of unpublished drafts of earlier books (including Dragonsteel), and it appears that random people have read them. Does anyone have a list of available stuff, and who/what to email to get them?

message 12: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Japhia: I'm pretty sure you can get it sent to you by emailing Brandon here: http://brandonsanderson.com/contact/

Also, I've found links to various stories.

Firstborn
http://www.tor.com/stories/2008/12/fi...

Defending Elysium
http://brandonsanderson.com/defending...

I Hate Dragons
http://brandonsanderson.com/i-hate-dr...

Warbreaker Prime: Mythwalker
http://brandonsanderson.com/warbreake...

I hadn't know of these, but I found them on 17th Shard.

message 13: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Oh derp I just realized that they're so easy to find.

The Hope of Elantris
http://brandonsanderson.com/elantris-...

Dreamer (non-Cosmere)
http://brandonsanderson.com/dreamer/

Mistborn - The Eleventh Metal
http://brandonsanderson.com/mistborn-...

Centrifugal (non-Cosmere)
http://brandonsanderson.com/centrifugal/

There's also a few others, but they're anthology-exclusive and such.
I feel stupid for not knowing about these, but hopefully I'm not the only one.

message 14: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments To clarify, the only Cosmere stories (as far as I can tell) are Warbreaker Prime, Hope of Elantris, and Eleventh Metal. The rest are just separate fantasies. I think.

message 15: by Michael (new)

Michael Lavin | 47 comments R this stories unpublished? Basically r these worth reading?

message 16: by Lance (new)

Lance (pdxlance) | 60 comments Coppermind has some good information. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Cosmere

message 17: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Yes, but Coppermind only has the published (or set for publication) listed. Since Eleventh Metal and Warbreaker Prime are more like prewrites, they're not listed, but apparently they include a different form of magic that we haven't seen before. I'll still read them.

message 18: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments So it took just about 5 hours to get White Sands sent to me, and the document is 1000+ pages long. Well. There's that.

message 19: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments Ah, I've read the others in the past. I've wanted to read white sands for a while. I didn't know it was setting he finished writing. Awesome.

message 20: by Michael (new)

Michael Lavin | 47 comments How did u go about getting them sent to you?

message 21: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments If you're talking about White Sands (not sure what you meant by "them"), I just emailed here: http://brandonsanderson.com/contact/ with the message body saying "White Sands". It took a couple hours, but I got it sent to me in a document download.

message 22: by Michael (new)

Michael Lavin | 47 comments Thanks! Interested in the Mistborn reference and war breaker read the books tryin to get my hands on that world diff. Story

message 23: by Thy (new)

Thy (thyfe) What, did you really get White Sands within a day of emailing him? I emailed about a week ago for White Sands and one of his other unpublished novels (I forget what it's called lol) and haven't heard from him since!

message 24: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments I emailed him at 4 pm, and got it sent to me around 9. I've been theorizing that perhaps it's actually Brandon sending the emails, which would explain why it's not automatic, and why it's so unreliable. Was the other novel Dragonsteel? Or one of the Primes?

message 25: by Thy (new)

Thy (thyfe) Hm, probably! It would certainly explain why I haven't heard back from him, haha. And I just looked it up on Coppermind and I also requested Aether of Night.

message 26: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments It's a bummer that you haven't got it yet. Maybe you should try again, and double-check what you submitted as your email. They've apparently had problems with that.

message 27: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments I haven't received mine either. I submitted around today. But honestly, there's no rush.

message 28: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Huh. It took my brother something like 12 hours, but I don't know why Felicia hasn't gotten hers yet. Whoever's sending them should've seen her email by now.

message 29: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments It's a big con weekend could just be busy.

message 30: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Is Brandon even at Comic Con? I know he's going to be at the Salt Lake one (I'm probably going), but I'm not sure why he (or his agent Josh, which is just, if not more probable) would send the email for some people in less than a day but totally ignore others.

message 31: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments We'll probably receive it Monday. It's the weekend

message 32: by Michael (new)

Michael Lavin | 47 comments I read his short story I hate dragons and it was very entertaining. Glad I found this thread!

message 33: by Thy (new)

Thy (thyfe) To be honest, I didn't even expect a reply within the month; I figured he or whoever handles his emails would be pretty swamped! It's not a big deal though; I'll probably just send it again!!

And Brandon won't be at SDCC, I think he's going to Europe or something instead?

message 34: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments He's in Spain right now.

message 35: by Kenneth (new)

Kenneth Geary (kennethhayes) | 118 comments Yeah it took me like three weeks to get it because he was touring for AMOL then but it got to me eventually.

message 36: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Finally got Aether of Night. Took a couple days, but I got it.

message 37: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments Just received white sands 2! Wait. Is there a white sands 1?

message 38: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Wait, what? Apparently WS is going to be a trilogy in graphic novel form, but I'm not aware of more than one novel. About how many pages is this thing? Because we can compare and see. It might be 2 considering that the one we get is a complete rewrite of White Sand Prime. Still, I'm confused. Mine had nothing to signify if it was 1 or 2.

message 39: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments Once I'm at a computer and off my phone I'll double check.

message 40: by JaphiaHart (new)

JaphiaHart | 85 comments The file is 1.3MB titled "08) white sands II full 2.7.doc"

message 41: by Jared (new)

Jared | 22 comments Ah, so does mine. I believe it means that this is the second version. So far it seems like the beginning of the story to me.
