Aaron heard the commotion and turned around, he quickly pulled his flintlock and fired at the man's chest. He had no idea who he was, or what he would have meant to her. He was only scared that himself or Serena could have gotten hurt.

Serena looked away when her brother was killed. "Thanks." She grabbed the bags of loot. She heard more people coming. She wasn't even going to bother but hearing her mother call her. She ignored them she couldn't stand this she wasn't going to go back to them at all she won't dare too. She wasn't Adrianna anymore she was Serena.
Aaron walked over to her "Are you okay?" He asked picking up the brothers gun. "How much more loot is in this place? I don't want to get caught up here if it isn't worth it." He said looking around for more immediate danger.
"I"m fine. There's not much left." She said to him not wanting to look at him she doesn't even want to go back in there. Hearing her family was calling her name more and more she ignored it. Out of anger she turned to the house shooting at her bedroom door as much as she could. She was so angered at her family she turned away.
Aaron didn't question the outburst, he only lead her out of the house, and back into the ally they came from. "Where next? Since you seem to know where to find good spoils."
"All of them are good this was the best one." She explained to him there was to many great places for a pirates loot. "Let's just get away from that house before anything happens." She said to him. Her family would assume that she is a hostage of a pirate but she wasn't.
"Agreed." He said leading her to another small town house. He kicked in the door and began shouting at the family he saw. "Everyone in the living room, and get on the ground! No one has to die!" He said putting his cross hairs on them.
Serena went in holding her gun tightly looking around to get the loot. "Do you want me to watch them?" She asked him. It would be easier for him to get the loot and she could get everything protected it would be nice. It was great just to watch and protect everything. She hated this family more then ever. They were the crime family here in the town so was glad.
He nodded and tossed her his looted pistol. Then he began doing the same thing he did at the other house. He grabbed any and everything worth money. Goblets, pocket watches, candle bras, silverware. Anything. After a few minutes of rigorous looting he headed towards the front door. "Lets go!"
Serena left with him taking her own loot. She saw all the other sailors were still getting loot. More getting barely any gold at her house maybe more then she knew. She didn't care at all she looked around for other houses to get more loot right now. It was feeling good to do a great raid especially.
"Lets toss what we have before we continue." He said jogging back towards the ship. He made it to the dock before he realized, there was about 5 ships sailing into port. "Oh no..... Not yet...." He said. He threw his loot over the rail onto the ship and yelled up towards the town. "Lets go men!! Battle stations!"
Serena threw her bag of loot over the railing seeing the ships. "Hurry Let's go!" She yelled at the crew. She took out a knife just in case ready for any kill or anything to do at all would be good.
Aaron hopped on board his ship and sprinted to the wheel of the ship. He cranked the wheel and it began rotating in place, the main row of cannons lined up for the incoming fleet. "Hurry up you poor excuse for a crew!"
Serena got onto the ship and started working to get the ship ready to leave once everyone was finally on she was glad. Seeing the same sailor staring at her. She ignored it she kept working and helping the ship move as well as they can.
Aaron screamed at the crew "Fire when ready!!" He said once the crew was almost all aboard. The cannons went off out of sync, due to the crew not being able to all arrive at once.
"Let's go!" She yelled at the crew once cannon fire was back to normal she was relieved. She didn't work with the cannons though. She went up above deck watching with the other crew members.
One by one, the ships coming into port were dropping to the depths of the sea. "That's it! Keep it going!" Aaron shouted. "We have an advantage, they cant turn without hitting each other!"
Serena watched as it continued the ships all drowning besides there's it was so good. She helped out a few crew members with the sails. making sure the ropes they were tied up right and tight. So glad they were. They were safe for now she was so glad and relieved things were good.
"First mate Serena, Are we ready to set sail?" Aaron shouted as the last ship was bombarded with cannon shots. He smiled down at her as you could hear the crackling and sinking of the ship in the distance. "We need some distance between us and royal."
"Yes sir!" Serena answered him not hearing him say first mate she was surprised to hear it going over to him seeing the ship he was talking about. "How quickly can we get a distance between them both." She said to him wondering what to do she looked around at the sea.
"We can't outrun a navy ship. We have to fight it out. Unless we come up with something, and now." He said as the ship began to gain ground on the opposing ships. "Prepare all cannons for a full assault!" he shouted.
Serena nodded making sure the crew was doing what they said and got the cannons fully prepared. "The cannons are ready Captain!" She yelled to him getting out from under the ship looking at the opposite Navy ship. Hoping they would be okay she was so nervous that they won't make it against the navy ship.
Aaron swallowed hard and held his breath, he cranked the wheel as hard as he could to the starboard side.(Right) "FIRE!!" He said right as the ship began to turn. The cannons all fired at once this time. As the ship turned fully right, all the cannons were done. The first barrage took out the bow, the next took out most of the sails and main body. the 3rd wave took out the captains quarters and back of the ship.
Serena watched the ship sink again it was so good it was finally good and gone. "Great." She saw the ship drown down for good deep time they could escape now which was good. They got the loot they wanted it was a great day finally. She watched around the perimeter making sure no one get's hurt or anything. Making sure they were followed. "We are clear no one is following us." She said to him it was great to see everything was safe.
"Full speed ahead!" He shouted to the crew, straitening out the ship and heading for open sea. "We did it men! We have spoils to last us through the century!!" He shouted rushing over to Serena, and wrapping her up in his arms. "All thanks to you!"
Serena smiled at his reaction surprised that he wrapped his arms around her. "It was your plan I would never had made it right if you hadn't made that plan." she said to him. Though felt the guilt of her brother being dead. "Excuse me for a minute captain. She went down to her bunk holding in the quiet sobs. The sailor went over to the captain. "Sir can I talk to you about Serena?" He asked him. He knew a girl brought bad luck and wanted her off this ship to crash and burn. If he told the captain everything he knew she would be gone he hoped.
"What is it lad?" He asked focused intently on the crew member. "She drink the rest of the rum?" He asked smiling and slapping the crewman on the shoulder.
"No she's not who she says she is. I found out her name is Adrianna Grey. The daughter of that man's house you robbed. The boy you killed was her brother." He gave him the picture of her family portrait. It wasn't so hard at all to learn things. He explains everything so he knew.
"I'll take care of this." He said taking the picture from the crewman. He walked downstairs to her quarters, where she headed just a moment ago. "So.... Adrianna. Let's Talk." He said throwing the picture towards her.
Serena looked up hearing him call her Adrianna. "I don't know what you are talking about. But when she saw the picture sighing. "Where did you get this?" She asked him wanting to rip it apart. He would think that she's a spy or something. He would probably use her just like the other pirates wanted too. She sat down wanting to rip the photo apart.
He shook his head in disappointment. "Lets start off with the most basic question. Who are you, and what are you doing on my ship?" He asked sitting on the bunk directly across from her.
"I'm Serena Loveless. I've lived alone training to become a pirate for four years." She said to him lying about her name. "I'm here just to live my life and be a pirate."
"Okay Adrianna Grey. I'll ask one last time." He said pulling his loaded flintlock, pointing it at her head. "I have plenty O' crew who won't lose a wink cleaning yu'r brains off my ships floor."
She flinched but once he pointed the gun at her. "My name is Adrianna Grey. I ran away from home when I was sixteen. I hated my life it was the worse thing. Because the man I had to marry betrayed me ripped my life apart. I was sick and tired of it. I ran away and became my training as a pirate doing what I can to train and become Serena Loveless." She gave him the full story. "You can do whatever you want to me force more money out of my family I don't care. But I will never go back." She said to him bravely.
He put his pistol back on his hip and stood up. "Now, why was that so hard to say in the first place mate?" He asked looking down at her. He extended his hand out to her, ready to help her up.
She got up relaxed a bit more. "Because the last time I told was betrayed." She answered him. The other captain took her and forced her parents to give more money. She escaped almost dead but was brought back to heal with help and survived.
Aaron shook his head. "You told me your secret. So Ill tell you mine in good faith. My Name is Aaron Black. If one other mate is to find this name out, I will know who to turn to. And I will kill you." He said not trying to intimidate here.
"Keep my secret and make sure I don't go back home and I can guarantee I won't say a word. If you say one of mine I'll kill you too." She promised him. Meaning it she wasn't going to her old life it was too humiliating to her.
Aaron nodded and wrapped her up in his arms again. "I'm glad we see it eye to eye then." He said before heading back to top deck. He barked a few random orders as to where we were all heading.
She nodded relaxing in his arms again. She sat down for a minute not ripping the picture apart. She went up to the deck glaring at the person who told. She helped out whoever needed it with the crew. She was stressed out about it though.
"Serena, can I still count on you as my first mate?" He asked approaching the wheel of his ship. He looked over it and down at her, wondering how she will play this game from here on out.
"Yes you can still count on me as first mate Captain." She promised him. She wouldn't dare to disobey him things were going well and she could live a better life helping him out. She would be the first mate for a good time.
(( Chapter 2! ))Aaron woke up and looked around the cabin slowly. He sat up slowly, and almost fell right back over. A hang over. "Damn..." he said softly. He shook his head and looked around again. This wasn't his ships cabin. "What happened last night?" He asked standing up, regretting it soon after. He fought his way to the door, he opened it quickly and a blast of light hit him. He felt as if he was gonna throw up, but he managed to hold it in. He was on an island. "Anyone around?" He yelled out.
Serena wrapped her arm from the bullet wound getting up looking for the captain seeing him. "Captain are you alright?" She asked him making sure he's okay and not hurt at all. She got an arm wound from the ambush but she will survive it was fine to her. There was a huge ship ambush that caused them problems. The ship was leaning into the grass being worked on by the crew.
"What in god's name happened here?" He asked seeing some injured crew scattered around the ground. He noticed Serena's arm wound and shook his head. "Did we get attacked?" He asked honestly confused. Then he noticed his ship beached. "No no no! Not my Jackdaw!!!" He said flipping out and dropping to his knees.
"We got attacked you were knocked out Captain I tried to help us escape but there were three other ships." She said to him. "They damage is almost fixed." The men were trying to fix it up really well but it was taking forever.
"By who? Who is stupid enough to attack me?!" He shouted walking towards his ship. "How bad is the damage men? Will she sail?" he asked closely looking at his recently ruined ship. "Will I need a new one?" He asked getting frantic.
"I"m not sure captain but the damage isn't so bad its almost done and fixed up." She told him. Since the sailors are too busy right now. She looked around for everything. The people that attacked really caused damage and problem.
"Damn it! I don't want a repaired ship! I want my Jackdaw! She had never even been hit, now she was beached?! Impossible! I want the heads of the bastards who dared hit us!" He said getting furious.
