yesssss and mateo isn't like trying to hurt winnie or anything like has so much love and respect for her but his thing with roman was a drunken mistake that just keeps happening

bc what we were thinking was that like all the boys went to australia for a soccer tournament and winnie came along and they won their game so they celebrated and got super drunk and i'm thinking mateo ended up hanging out with roman instead of winnie and ren and things got dirty and so mateo's all nervous on the plane bc he doesn't know exactly what happened with roman and he just keeps lying to winnie once it all starts happening more bc he doesn't wanna lose her and ren but he doesn't wanna lose what he has with roman either

alsooo thoughts on roman and winnie being unproblematic friends (or at least in the beginning before everything blows up? i could also see them being super awkward and not knowing what to do with themselves after all the dirty laundry is aired)

hahah mateo definitely a giggly drunk that's too ballsy and does everything he's too insecure to do sober. also probably really affectionate when he's drunk and is always trying to cuddle and kiss up to everyoen

he was probably realllyyyyyy happy that night bc they just won and he blocked some really hard balls from going into the goal and so he's just trying to get blackout drunk and get everyoen to drink as much as him

i think rn when the crash happens ren doesn't know much of anything yet but mateo's been acting weird lately in general so he's definitely suspicious of him and like maybe he's seen mateo like staring at roman a few times and it's just all weird

because roman literally thinks everyone is beneath him because he was raised by cutthroats so he's always striving to be the best at everything. also i can see him being mean to mateo especially since he doesn't sugarcoat things and manipulative when it suits him.

lmao i mean if winnie and roman are friends, roman would def hold that above ren since he can probably tell that ren likes winnie but then winnie's dating mateo so he finds all this drama and complication amusing
