The only thing I've watched for the past year is PBS - Masterpiece Theater, Mystery, Nature, NOVA, WordGirl... Not really an intentional boycott or anything. We were watching Earl one night, laughing our butts off, when it hit me: This really isn't at all appropriate for the children. So we figured we'd tape it and watch it an hour later every week. We did that once. Then forgot. Oh well. Here's my all time favorites though:Earl (did I say that already?)

When you were a kid, I was a kid King, I'm pretty sure we're about the same age...but you live in WA, and I in OR, maybe it was different. They came on our local channel, channel 12, back in the day when there were only 5 (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and the local channel).Or, I am totally remembering wrong and you win! :)

You're two years older, and I don't remember any of that other stuff you mentioned. I remember it as Sat. followed by Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers (beedy beedy...that one wasn't so great), after the cartoons had died around noon.

What was that episode where the guy goes to some place to meet with all these scientists. But while he's there he discovers some seedy goings on and tries to escape with the pretty lady hostess but ends up getting picked up by the martians and they fly in their spaceship to the distant lands where their host with the really big brain ends up dying (sorry...spoiler there)? That's my favorite. heh

Current: The Office, 30 Rock, Battlestar Galatica (yay for all my fellow nerds!), The Tudors, ANTM marathons (never in single episodes, always in all day gluttony), Daily Show/Colbert, The Soup, and Project Runway.
Oh my huband and I love Frasier! We have all the seasons on DVD. It's his favorite show of all time. I love the high brow humor and I think David Hyde Pierce's physical comedy was brilliant.
I totally agree! I know it was a totally pretentious show, ridiculously so at times, but I LOVED it. The arguements between Kelsey Grammar and David Hyde Pierce were fantastic. It was like watching something of an old farce.

I also love "The Office" and "30 Rock". The former is, in my eyes, the funniest show on television and leaps and bounds better than the British version. Great acting, great scripts, week after week of laugh out loud scenarios.
"30 Rock" is great and sadly unappreciated.
I like "No Reservations" a lot too, although I just started watching. I'm catching up on the old episodes as they re-run. Next week's episode, when Mr. B. goes back to his old restaurant, looks like a good one.
I also watch "Samantha Brown" on the Travel Channel...she's pretty good.
Hm...after that...Sportscenter...every morning...
