Alex (asato) Got a wealthy grandpa and you’re in his will? Mochi is an obvious choice. I like mine with shoyu and sugar.

J.N. Bedout (jndebedout) | 104 comments The articles suggests that eaters "chew, chew, chew" to avoid mishaps with mochi. Great advice if you still have your real teeth, I suppose.

I've had mochi in some upscale Japanese restaurants. Chewy? Sure. Chewy enough to kill? I didn't think so at the time. I guess I have to go try some more...

It was so chewy I nearly threw it back up, but I have problems with super chewy foods so at the time, I thought it was just me having that issue.
