I had looked at your #9 but passed on it because I get easily bored with books about teenagers. Now that I'm not around many of them anymore, I don't relate. Judging from your review and rating, probably the right choice for me. But hey! Another notch in your Austenesque belt! Good for you, Sheila!
It was just a matter of "I downloaded it so I am going to read it"...but if a book is really bad or offensive, I will put it down and not finish it. Others might like it and the author did not deserve that I would ignore it when I got it for free.

Come February I will rejoin KU and maybe some of those I have been saving to read under that membership will fit the bill. I am just attempting to read all those just sitting on my Kindle unread...over 50 unread stories at my last count. Some are NOT JAFF.
Only 50?? I've got LOTS more than that unread on mine!! You go, girl!
I have been reading those for the last 1.5 months so the count has gone down. There are lots of unpublished ones on a list I have that others (inc. you) have recommended as 4 or 5 star reads so I count those separately. Then there are the paperbacks I have from back before I got my kindle which I read but wasn't posting reviews at that time. I want to reread those and post reviews. And part of that is the 27 paperbacks I won as the blog prize for The Darcy Monologues. I promised myself to reread those in honor of winning. I have done so with some but not all.
I have 50 something, unread on my kindle too but 96 on Bookmate that I need to reread in order to add a review here so I can keep track of what I have read and which I want to add to my kindle before unsubscribing Bookmate. Much more fun to read new ones though...
Yes, that was the problem with me...new ones kept calling to me. So I quit KU as to eliminate that voice. Will rejoin to read all those in February but making a little dent in my unread ones.
