Good morning and Happy New Year, everyone! Here is the nominations thread for March's Book of the Month and Group Buddy reads.

If you're looking for any ideas, remember for the remainder of the year, you can always nominate a book by one of the Author's of the Month or nominate one that will work for the specific challenge that month. Kim Vogel Sawyer is March's Author of the Month.

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books....
-Remember that a book must be out for 6 months or more to be eligible for nominations and voting
-Try not to nominate an author that we've read that year already
-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.
-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decision. Thank you for your understanding! :)

Nominations will be open until January 15!

Nominations as of Jan. 6:
1. Grace and the Preacher by Kim Vogel Sawyer
2. Waiting for Summer's Return by Kim Vogel Sawyer
3. Covenant Child: A Story of Promises Kept by Terri Blackstock
4. Just Look Up by Courtney Walsh
5. My Heart Remembers by Kim Vogel Sawyer
6. The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill by Julie Klassen
7. Ring of Secrets by Roseanna M. White

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 84 comments I nominate Covenant Child Covenant Child by Terri Blackstock Terri Blackstock

Amanda's heart broke as she watched them drive her beloved twins away. She resolved to hope . . . and to fight for them to her last breath.

Kara and Lizzie are heiresses to one of the largest fortunes in the country. But when their father dies suddenly, the toddlers are taken from the arms of Amanda, their loving stepmother, and given to relatives who only want the children's fortune for themselves.

Kara and Lizzie grow up questioning their worth . . . until the day when they learn the truth.

Intensely involving, emotionally charged, and infused with hope, Covenant Child is an inspiring story that challenges us to embrace the life God holds out to us.

Jolyn | 24 comments There are several new-to-me authors as well Chantel but I decided to vote for a book by an author I have read before and want to read more of. A number of the books sounded really interesting so I will be looking forward to the announcement of which books are selected for March book club reading at the end of the month.

Of course there is! Both authors are really great and favorites among many of us, I think. I hope a few more people will vote today. :)

Hello, everyone. Since there was a tie again for the final vote, the mods have decided to go with My Heart Remembers by Kim Vogel Sawyer by Kim Vogel Sawyer for the Group Buddy, since she is the author of the month for March.

Christine, (or anyone really!) feel free to nominate The Innkeeper of Ivy Hill again in a future month! I think it would stand a good chance of being one of our group reads. :)

I didn't realize that. It makes sense to read her book. My library has the eaudio of that book and its sequel, so I may listen to them in March, if I can get them then.

My Heart Remembers is my favorite Sawyer book (and the first of hers I read). I wish I had time to pull out my copy and give it a fourth read, but I have a huge stack of review books right now. We'll see what things look like next month for me, whether I think I can squeeze it in or not.
