Susanne | 18 comments Kristin, I loved them too! These books were mine when I was 8 and now that my oldest is 8 I'm spreading the love <3 (Felicity was my favorite!). It's true that books written for younger audiences have something really special that adult novels typically don't have. That's why I'm so excited to start reading chapter books aloud this year! I haven't read the second book you mention, but I love little women and will probably read it many more times, and I love the Chronicles of Narnia and have read them many times and will read them many more (they also are well done audiobooks if you're interested in listening instead of reading them). You might also like The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge, totally hopeful and whimsical!

Susanne | 18 comments You know I think my dad used to quote Rikki-Tikki-Tavi and that’s one I bought for my kindle but haven’t read. Maybe I’ll add it to my list :) We were a read aloud family as well <3 it was magical!
