I started this yesterday and haven't got very far yet - only about 90 pages - but am enjoying it so far.

Mine has 449. But I'm more than halfway through now. The main character is a little irritating in some respects, but I am still (mostly) enjoying it.

I have only read 2 chapters so far and it's fairly easy to read and follow. Even though it's fairly large-ish book I don't believe it will take me long to get through it. At this stage I don't mind it. I felt the prologue/present ended too suddenly for me. I'm interested in what's happening with the Historian Professor and her daughter so hope that we revisit the present more frequently in the book and not just at the end.
However in saying that I do like Agnes. I think she's a gutsy young woman for doing what she's doing.

She’s a great character - keeps landing on her feet, it seems.
Now that was interesting. Part 2 gave us the perspective of one of the sisters, but which one?! I know which one I'm supposed to think it was...On to Part 3.
Trying to track down this book at a decent price in Singapore. So far I'm stuck with Kobo wanting a ridiculous price of US$16.39because I am in Singapore.
I'm picking mine up from the library tomorrow night.

Hm, I don't think this is a spoiler at all so I'll post this here... That token & her conclusion from it... I'm thinking she's jumped a bit ahead of herself?
I think that's vague enough not to spoil it for anyone but this annoyed me a bit and what's going on between the sisters, ach, if it's anything like Morton's The Forgotten Garden, I would hate it :(

Yes. Just occasionally the author gets sidetracked into detailed descriptions which I speed read. Overall it is a good book:)
I'm late to the party as I'm just starting this but should get it finished by the end of the month.
