You'll probably still finish before me, Brenda!!

Oh, is it? I started reading it on my Kindle this afternoon and wondered why it was taking so long to get off 1%.

At this stage I don't mind it. I felt the prologue/present ended too suddenly for me. I'm interested in what's happening with the Historian Professor and her daughter so hope that we revisit the present more frequently in the book and not just at the end.
However in saying that I do like Agnes. I think she's a gutsy young woman for doing what she's doing.

I’m a bit the same, Mish. I would have liked to linger over that set-up a bit longer, but I’m enjoying how Agnes’ story is unfolding in the 1870s. She’s a great character - keeps landing on her feet, it seems.

On to Part 3.

because I am in Singapore.

She's persistent - you have to give her that!

Will d/l when I get home tonight!

That token & her conclusion from it... I'm thinking she's jumped a bit ahead of herself?
I think that's vague enough not to spoil it for anyone but this annoyed me a bit and what's going on between the sisters, ach, if it's anything like Morton's The Forgotten Garden, I would hate it :(

And yet, you still rated it 4 stars?!

Yes. Just occasionally the author gets sidetracked into detailed descriptions which I speed read. Overall it is a good book:)
