Ok, I really liked Oscar du Muriel's mystery series, The Strings of Murder
Also like Susannah Kearsley's The Winter Sea which is not a traditional mystery, but still mysterious
MC Beaton's Hamish McBeth series is set in Scotland.
And obviously Mary Stewart's Stormy Petrel and Wildfire at Midnight.

A fellow booktuber, Britta Boehler, writes with a writing partner and those mysteries are set in Amsterdam.
Lonely Graves

Oh, lovely! I own both of those Mary Stewart books and haven't read them yet; I'm especially looking forward to Wildfire at Midnight!
