KateNZ | 2502 comments I think I'm the first in the group to see the sun on Christmas Day (it is 6am here), so from me to all of you, have a wonderful day, whatever you happen to be doing. Meri kirihimete.

If you give and receive presents, may many of them be books! And if presents aren't your thing, there's that TBR to be tackled :)

Most of all, be happy, be safe and know that you are loved - here and elsewhere.

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 7782 comments Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! And I know we have several Jewish members here, and I hope you all had a Happy Hanukkah!

To those who are not religious, I hope you have a relaxing couple of days and perhaps enjoy a couple of bonus paid holidays off work :)

That is so sweet, Kate! Happy Holidays to you and all PBT members. Hoping everyone received/gave a book or found a gift card in their stocking to buy a novel. Wishing everyone a blessed New Year, too.

Anita Pomerantz | 6543 comments Merry, Merry Christmas to everyone who is celebrating!! I wish you a wonderful day with lots of books and book related presents.

I celebrated Chanukah already, and didn't get any books, lol. I did get an espresso maker (which kinda goes with books) and an Amazon Echo (making books even easier to order which is a double edged sword. And it will read you Audible books, but I don't have any of those, lol).

We are having Jewish Christmas - went to the movies to see The Last Jedi and then we ill go out for Hibachi dinner since Asian restaurants are the only ones open today.

Hope Santa was good to everyone this morning.

Amy | 8847 comments We had traditional Jewish Christmas Eve Chinese Food last night then watched Despicable Me 3. Tonight on our way to Celtics vs Wizards. A perfect Jewish Christmas. Hope everyone is having a beautiful and blessed day together with family.

Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 6004 comments We drove from San Antonio to Shreveport LA on Christmas Day. Not even the McDonald's along the highway were open in the small Texas towns we went through. But we bought a fantastic home-made cherry pie at a gas station. We chose Shreveport as our stopover because of the casinos ... sadly, we knew they would be open, so their restaurants would be open as well. Hamburgers for dinner ... with cherry pie for dessert back in our hotel room.

Today (Dec 28) we're in Mattoon Illinois. We both have colds and just did not want to push to get home. We'll make it tomorrow, though - only about 5 hours away. Some snow in the forecast on our way, but nothing major.

Oh, and we still have cherry pie for dessert!
