What Series Is This? Paranormal Romance, UF, Scifi

There's a series that I cannot remember the name of, and the vague details I remember aren't helping me find it.

- There's a portal between two worlds, and it's in/on/near a mountain.
- The other world is dying, and the people of that world are trying to come through the portal because of it
- There's a group in 'this' world that fights the invaders
- One of the books is about a 'handler/healer' and the fighter she works with
- Another book in the series is about a guy that came from the 'other' world
- I think there was something about 'crystals' maybe, being stolen from the other world

This is driving me crazy, does anyone know what series this is?
