Amira Awaad | 7 comments Hi Blair!

My latest book is scheduled for release on March 2nd, 2018.

If you're interested in reviewing it, then please inbox me your email address and I will send you a PDF.

It's an adventure story that is heavily laced with romance, called "Ren".
The title is pharaonic (a dead language, I know, but it lives on in me).

Here's what it's about:

Nadiah Zahi knew how to live anywhere in the world - as a foreigner.

But when her father's diplomatic term at the UN came to an end, she had to go home - to Egypt.

She'd only ever seen glimpses of her country as a child, and having to go back now, was daunting. Her reality was made worse by having to say goodbye to Dean Stanton, the greatest guy she'd ever known.

She receives a cryptic note which weighs over her like a curse, but would later become the key to her self discovery, her Ren.

On this epic journey, Nadiah meets a tour-guide, Ahmed, who's rich voice resonates with an allure that is too powerful for her to ignore. Little does she know who he really is and what his presence in her life would reveal about her own identity.

Much love and happy reading,

The response was quite overwhelming and I have plenty (too much) to read for now. I might put out another offer when I'm done with the massive list I have to deal with.

Ed Mitchell | 7 comments Blair,
Hope you and your partner and dogs are weathering the pandemic. You're more isolated than me in California.

Regarding a review: You have the world traveling experience and writing expertise to be a good reviewer of my work. Please consider reviewing my latest mystery - thriller release, Black Camel.

Black Camel (The Gold Lust Series, #5) by Ed Mitchell

I've written thrillers for a long time but took a sabbatical when my wife got sick. I'm working my way back from that period and seek reviewers for my latest release.

SYNOPSIS: After numerous terrorist cells in America are captured, Al-Qaeda’s leadership resorts to hiring an always-successful political assassin, the Black Camel. The mission: force America to pull out of the Middle East and Africa. As wide-scale attacks spread chaos across the USA, the FBI is compelled to employ an unconventional counterterrorism team. Can a street-smart FBI Special Agent and a jaded Israeli Mossad Field Officer stop the Black Camel? Or will the terrorist send them to their deaths and coerce America to surrender to Al-Qaeda’s demands?

To make the choice to review or not-to-review, easier. Please read the first few pages of the story at this link: ( )

Should you decide to review Black Camel, just email me at I'll reply with a pdf or ePub ebook.

Award-winning thriller author

Dr. Sophie Grimaldi, successful and happy in her career, if not in love, is contentedly single and plans to remain that way. Books have always been her escape and the only place she still allows herself to believe men are decent and true love exists.
Author Jax Rowland is writing the first book of his next spy thriller series, struggling to forge a deeper connection between his protagonist and not-another-Bond-girl to appease the disenchanted female portion of his audience.
When Sophie finds a sheet of Jax’s notes in a library book, she’s appalled by his attempt at writing a love scene and critiques it, never imagining the author will read her review. Ashamed to view his work through a mystery critic’s eyes, he recognizes her talent and hires her to edit the love scenes of his next novel. As they get to know each other through the work, discovering all they share in common, a desire for more than a working relationship, more than friendship grows. But, after a series of missed connections, it seems fate has other plans.
Will they continue to play it safe and single or will they risk another heartbreak for a chance at love?
Note: Book Review is a full-length standalone romance with some adult language. The end of this book is not a cliffhanger but, if you prefer a tidy conclusion, this may not be the book for you. Reader discretion is advised.

message 20: by Alexander (new)

Alexander | 90 comments Hello Blair,

Interested in science fiction? How about a free copy of a story of exploration and mystery thriller set in an intricate sci-fi world that is accessible yet deep?

Prime Vanguard, book 1 of the Trans-Stellar Chronicles
113,000 words

In 3512, a probe mapping an uncharted system is disabled, its last recordings revealing an artificial-ringed planet and strange masses surrounding both its stars. Amidst wariness of how easily First Contact events between species turn awry, a secret and hasty expedition is mounted with the mothership of the lost probe.

Assigned as its security commander, Shakrii Dehn-Herensk accompanies the mixed crew to the system, where signs of a much greater power prove daunting, catalyzing tensions within the crew on all fronts.

Things only worsen with the emergence of a pair of machine factions, servants of an ancient colonization effort by a power seemingly delayed, perhaps dead. Soon, revelations ignite a conflict thousands of years in the making, the costs of which Shakrii and the crew cannot under any circumstances let spill beyond the system.

This coming from one who sent an abysmally worded extortion email burst to many writers on Goodreads, that's rich.
Or you would be, if the FBI weren't after you.

message 22: by Alexander (new)

Alexander | 90 comments To everyone here, just issuing a heads up warning, the same troll-hordes likely behind the ineffectual extortion attempts of May 10th are back, and what's more embarrassing is that many are using even more obvious copy-pasted reviews or comments disparaging works or posts or the like.
Be aware that those emails have been tracked and government organizations have been alerted by me and other authors affected, the FBI included, and are pursuant of these criminals.
