Nicole | 3 comments Okay here's a random description that I hope sounds familiar to someone!

It was an audio book (a vinyl with several christmas stories on it). This one particular story was about a boy (I think his name was Davy) who's parents go into town with the wagon. It snows a lot and he gets stuck at home, in a log cabin, with his dog and an ex. He then falls asleep and has a dream. When he wakes up, his parents come home and it's christmas morning.

I don't remember much else, but I cannot find any mention of this on the internet, but I used to listen to it before bed every winter night when I was little. Please help me discover this record with all the christmas stories on it so I know I'm not crazy!

Thank you in advance!

FIGURED IT OUT! It was Bing Crosby Tells and Sings How Lovely Is Christmas!

Adele | 1208 comments I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the story "An Axe, An Apple and a Buckskin Jacket", which is a book, but I couldn't find it on goodreads. There is a picture here: https://www.amazon.com/axe-apple-buck...

Bing Crosby did an album that has been released many times under different names that has a mixture of spoken word and songs and tells the story about the boy staying home in the cabin while his parents go to town. You can listen to the whole album here: https://youtu.be/wM6iHP277gc

This story has also been included on other Christmas Story albums that also have more mainstream popular stories like Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and The Night Before Christmas. This is an example that came with a book: https://goo.gl/images/m2uzH8
