Catherine wrote: "do we get points if they match the genre as well?"Yeah, we do get extra points (20) if book is right genre but only once and my was already used for it.
Catherine wrote: "ok...I thought it didn't matter how many read the genre...but that's cool :)"We can still use your book for the spell-it-out, but we just don't get extra points for each thriller we read.

yeah...no...I just thought the extra points for genre were for all books during the week :) no problem :)
Karla,Do I need to be telling you more about these books and the characters when I am finished with them? I just have them added to my shelf. Let me know what other info you need me to post when I've finished one! Thanks!

Do I just Reply to that post each time I finish a new book. Sorry I really don't do very many challenges.

I'm not Karla, but do you mind if I reply? :D
OK, you definitely need to put them on your shelf (you don't need to wait to finish reading it).
Since we can use so many things from books (title, author, series, character names) and info on books are not always complete, it would be great if you could give us that info.
If you can (if you're on app I don't think you can edit your posts), use one post for all books. That way Karla doesn't have to search for info each time.
So, what we need:
title, author, series (if there is any), and characters in the book that fit the spelling. It doesn't have to be only main characters. All those with some lines in the book can be used.
To use Karen's words: Karen wrote: "No Kelly, I'm happy to accept any character (as GR doesn't always list characters at all!), but it should be a character that has some dialogue... not just a goldfish called goldie that is mentioned once in the book if you know what I mean ;)"
Jordan wrote: "Do I just Reply to that post each time I finish a new book. Sorry I really don't do very many challenges. "First question: are you on GR via app (tablet, phone) or via site?
If you're using app, there is no edit function as far as I know. In that case you don't have a choice but to post info in new post each time. To make it easier to spot could you use bold function at the beginning? You have to type <b>text</b> to get text
If you are on GR via site, you can edit your posts. In bottom right of your posts you have
Use that edit function, to edit your posts with info on books. That way all your books will be in the same place and easier for Karla to find them.
It would also be great to let us know when you finish your book so we know what we can work with.
Karla,You've got me down as Midnight Games - Elle Kennedy for an "E" and Love Hacked - Penny Reid for an "R". Can we swap and use Midnight Games for the "R" with the character Isabel Roma and for the "E" use Midnight Pursuit with the character Ethan Hayes. So I'm still reading the letters, just with some changes.
I enjoyed Midnight Games and wanting to go straight onto the next book, so won't be reading Love Hacked.
Hope this makes sense and is ok?

That's no problem. I'll switch them now.
Jordan, if you could update this message with your books, that would be great. Jordan's Books. It's the one I have you linked to. You can always find the link on the first page. I check the links everyday, so I can make sure I don't miss anything.
Okay, I've rearranged a few things. We now have two letters left to complete the second round of the spell-it-out, L and E.
Karla wrote: "Jordan, if you could update this message with your books, that would be great. Jordan's Books. It's the one I have you linked to. You can always find the link on the first page. I check the links e..."Thank you Karla!!! I updated just now!!!
Thanks, Jordan, that looks great!Okay, I have rearranged some more things and updated the list. We just need Danielle or Alyssa to read their L book to get the points for Danielle's After the Rain. And we will have read our word twice! Great job, ladies!
I have a favor to ask of everyone. This has nothing to do with reading. If you have a facebook, please, please go to this address http://www.gofundme.com/bkkevg and share the story on your page. I am not asking any of you to donate, we just need to get the story out. The more people who see it, the more likely they will get donations. I am posting this every where I can think of.
Does the new weeks start on Sundays? So a book finished on Sunday, July 20th is a week 2 read correct?
Jordan wrote: "Does the new weeks start on Sundays? So a book finished on Sunday, July 20th is a week 2 read correct?"Depends on your time zone, but correct.
Sundays noon Australia EST
Saturday 9pm USA East Coast
Saturday 6pm USA West Coast
Sunday 2am UK/Europe
Also done with Off the Edge 16/7Now moving on to Show the Fire as it will work for L, T or I with the characters.
What letters do we need?
Finally! For last 2h GR is killing me...Finished with Witness in Death
and Game will be done in hour or two :D
What do we need next?
❁ Danielle wrote: "I know, I was trying to get on GR was an age."I just posted that I'm done when it kicked me out. Now it's taking me ages to load a page. *sigh*
Yeah, I haven't been able to get on here to update our list. After rearranging things, we have finished our second spell-it-out round! We have three books done in round three. I am reading and I book, Tea is down for an R, Danielle is down for the T, Audrey is down for the other R, and Alyssa is down for an L. Danielle and Tea, if one of you could read an L book and one an R book, that would be great. That way if Alyssa and Audrey can't finish their books, then we have them covered. If they can, we will have finished round three of the spell-it-out and have two books toward round four.
My book is done. I was just going to update my status & post.R & L? I'll check what I have. Should be able to cover at least one :P
❁ Danielle wrote: "Ok, Karla. Tea, I've got a R book if you can do the L."
Got it ;)
Just have to decide for what I'm in the mood.
Edit:
Found it The Lady Risks All
I finished On The Edge by Ilona Andrews :) I picked up The Greyfriar by Clay Griffith yesterday. I don't know if I will be able to finish it before the deadline Sunday but will let you know of my progress.
I'm listing to On the Edge at the moment Audrey Jane (my team needed another "I"!). I'm really enjoying it. What did you think?
Karen wrote: "I'm listing to On the Edge at the moment Audrey Jane (my team needed another "I"!). I'm really enjoying it. What did you think?"I liked it! It was a quick read. But I thought the hero, Declan was occasionally slightly too arrogant and honestly I preferred William (the changeling). I wanted Rose to end up with him at the beginning but in retrospect how it ended was better. Also, I loved Rose's brothers and liked the idea with the world building. It was kind of fairytale-ish. I will certainly read the second book Bayou Moon since it's William's story :)
Everytime I see an 'I' in a spell-it-out I immediately think 'Ilona Andrews' like there's no other options lol.
❁ Danielle wrote: "Show the Fire finished 17/7"Please remember to mark it as read on your shelf.
I have updated our books. I just need to finish my book, and we will have completed three rounds of our word!
Karla wrote: "❁ Danielle wrote: "Show the Fire finished 17/7"Please remember to mark it as read on your shelf."
I know, I was just interrupted before I could do it. Thanks anyway.
We have finished round three of our word! That gives us a total of 275 points, and we still have a little more than two days left. I will finish my "I" book by Saturday and Alyssa says she will finish her "L" book. And Tea is working on an "L" book. Those will give us 30 more points. Great job, ladies!
Yay!! Good work!!Today RL got in the way so I managed to read only 20 pages (not that book got me interested so far). I should finish it by Saturday (my Sunday) or switch to something else to get some more points. ☺
Catherine wrote: "what day are the picks done?"Saturday, for us in the US. They will be done sometime after everyone has posted their team's reads for this week. I need all books tagged by 5:50pm PST, so I have 10 minutes to check the books and post in the Captain's Group.

haha
I hear ya! The new Kate Daniels will be read by a few people when it is released and help with some "I"s!
I'm really enjoying the book too. I've heard that the series ends with a lot of things unanswered so you never know, maybe they will come back to it some day and release another book
