Easiest to explain is admin for non profit health organization, but basically I do whatever is necessary. This trip is we are taking group of people (who applied) for 10 days away from everything (hotel on the top of the nearest mountain) for series of lectures on health and nutrition and to spend time in nature (physical activity). And I'm there to help out and make sure everyone is happy. If my boss has it her way, this will be happening every 2-3 months. *sigh* Definitely ruining my reading time!

I know, I am still getting used to it. It is a family tradition to spend the day at the fair and then go out to dinner on one weekend in September. There are 3 birthdays within a week of each other and this is how we celebrate everyone at once.

It is quite handy that my sister lives in Puyallup just down the street from it. The only thing I hate is the traffic and parking. With the whole family it is cheaper to park, but there was one year we took the shuttle bus and that was so nice.

The family tradition sounds nice. What's your favorite thing about the fair? Have you ever seen one of Travis Fox's shows?

Has your sister every thought about renting her yard/driveway for people to park? My mom talked to someone who did that, and they earned hundreds of dollars doing that!

My family started going to the fair when I was nine, when we moved to western Washington. Out of 24 years, I probably have only missed the fair three years. I'm not going this year, no money.
