Our word this week is HISTORICAL FICTION. We can use Author, Title, Series or Characters (as long as they have some dialogue).

Karla Sarah, we are in week #5. One book a week is great, that gives us ten more points that we wouldn't have without you!

On the first page, in message #10, I have linked you to message %551, if you wouldn't mind using that message to list the books you will be reading each week, that would be a great help. I check everyone's list and wheel-a-thon shelf every day to see what letters we need. Speaking of, please create for the wheel-a-thon. That is the shelf that the mods and I use to check the books read.

Karla Update: We have dropped down to fourth place. We are 9 books behind third, 16 books behind second, and 20 books behind first. Fourth place is good!

Looking at past weeks, we are really fighting for third with Tom Marvolo Riddle, one week they were ahead, the next week we were.

Sarah | 3273 comments I am just wondering who came up with these crazy names for the teams? I am glad I made this team, I like our name, but there were some not so much like Tom Cruise or something?, not a fan.

message 562: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9633 comments I think this challenge is Karen's idea. I know I've been talking to her about naming one team Hobbit :P

Great, thanks.

Edit: I see "wat" is that it?

message 565: by Sarah (last edited Aug 10, 2014 04:07PM) (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Yes Karla - but without the exclamation marks.

Actually there are some really quirky and cool team names - I just really didn't like Tom Cruise or Clint Eastwood.
...But I like Bad Gibbon a lot even though I see I am a hobbit?

Great, I have linked your shelf.

Karla Update: I have added everyone's books. We already have 20 points, thanks to Danielle finishing two books.

message 568: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Thank you Danielle. I have only got through the first chapter of last year's Pulitzer winner The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - but I am already saying "Holy Crap". Crazy vivid writing that stirs up a lot of emotion. Already I am haunted.

They are anagrams. We did a cool research and all. This team's name is Karen's doing - Tea's fault.

Yes we had a discussion in the captains group throwing around ideas and one of the captains suggested using anagrams, and so away we went! The mods then tried to find anagrams that were G rated and had images that would work. It got a bit tough.....! For this team Tea requested a hobbit anagram, so this is what we were able to create ;)

message 573: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments *looks at the G rate*

yeah... I didn't like that. Specially because of the veto of pictures for Hook and Arrow and Castiel

I'm trying to decide should I read it now, or to wait next week. But what if we get wrong genre and I can't use it? :P

For some reason I thought it was out next week. Maybe you should read it this week when you'll know it will work.
